***Disclaimer I know nothing about soccer... I'm so sorry.***
Today was it, the final game of the season, the championship. Your soccer team had worked harder than ever before and you had somehow gotten yourselves to the state championship, going up against your cross-town rivals.
You and Vada -the other team captain- walked into the center of the field, glares permanently etched onto your faces. "Okay ladies, you know the drill, we are flipping a coin to see who goes first." The ref said, coin in her hand.
"I call heads." Vada hissed through gritted teeth, her eyes never leaving yours once as the ref nodded. You watched as the shiny silver went flying up in the air, the sun making it glitter. It landed back in the ref's palm and then she flipped it onto the back of her hand.
"Tails." She said, a smirk spreading on your face as soon as you heard this. Vada tilted her head in pure rage as she accepted the loss and the two of you backed up to where your teams were.
"You ladies ready?" You smiled at your team, most of the girls nodding in unison, matching expressions of determination on their faces. "Then let's do this."
And with that the game was off, both teams playing like their lives depended on it, the score staying neck and neck the whole time. About halfway through, you had the ball, speeding for the goal when an arm stuck out in front of you, landing you on your ass.
Immediately a whistle was blown, a red card being held up to Vada who had knocked you over. "What? That's bullshit!" She yelled, acting as if it wasn't on purpose. You scoffed as you stood, and clearly, she heard it because you received a quick shove to the shoulders.
"You really wanna play that way?" You hissed as you shoved back, your arm hurting from the impact. A fight broke out quickly, the two of you brawling with each other as your teammates, coaches, and the ref pulled you apart.
"You're both out!" The ref yelled, getting the attention of both of you. The last thing you wanted was to be pulled out of the final game of the season, and you knew Vada felt the same. "Go to the locker room and only come back once you have settled our differences."
You went to argue with your coach but the second that you opened your mouth she shot you a warning glare and you stopped instantly. As you and Vada stood from the tussle and made your way into the locker room, the game resumed behind you.
"You know, this is your fault." You groaned through gritted teeth as you walked into the room, the door shutting behind her as she walked in. "If you had just played fair we would both still be out there."
She rolled her eyes, a scoff leaving her as she slammed herself onto the bench in the middle of the room. "Stop acting like you always play fair y/n, we both know that's bull." She wasn't wrong, you weren't the most righteous of players, but you were smart about not getting caught.
"At least when I get caught I just take the loss instead of dragging everyone down with me." You hissed back as you leaned against the lockers in front of her, watching as her shoulders rolled at your remark.
"Shut up." She growled, her jaw clenching as she finished her sentence, standing from the bench and getting in your face like she had been moments before on the field.
"Make me." You scoffed as you rolled your eyes, crossing your arms in front of you. The wicked smile that occupied Vada's face confused you as she leaned forward, placing her hands on either side of your body.
"You don't want me to do that." She said lowly, her voice and demeanor changing drastically from moments before. Her eyes were dark and convincing as her lips pulled into a smirk. This change in attitude almost gave you whiplash, but you were willing to play along.
"Oh, I think I do." You whispered. Your voice was unsure and it came out as more of a question, but as she leaned forward and suddenly pressed her lips to yours, you didn't regret what you said. Was it sudden? Yes. Was it the last thing you expected? Yes. But did you absolutely crave it... yes.
As you wrapped your arms around her waist you deepened the kiss, groaning into her mouth with the new feeling. Her breath quickened as she continued kissing you, her fingers weaving through your hair. She broke the kiss for just a moment before moving down to nibble your neck lightly, making you groan again.
"God you're evil." You whispered, feeling her smile against her neck as she continued her attack. You would be lying if you said you hadn't thought of this scenario once or twice before. It was hard not to when you played against her every few weeks.
She chuckled as she teasingly moved her lips against the length of your neck. "I'm not the only evil one in this situation you know." She smirked, her hand running under your shirt, grazing your torso. "You're the one who wanted me to shut you up."
"You're right," You said with a smirk, pulling her face up to yours and connecting your lips with hers before walking her backward, sitting yourself on the bench, her on top of you. You move your lips down and kiss her neck, switching the roles from earlier.
Vada can't help the soft moan that comes from her body as you kiss her neck, taking he breath away entirely. "You know," she smiles as she leans back, holding your face "I like you better when you're not talking."
"Oh, do you now?" I tease as I kiss her again. She nodded quickly before her hands ran softly up and down your back, your hands holding onto her hips to keep her in place.
"Did the two of you figure out your shit yet? We are still tied and both teams need you." Her teammate Mia hissed as she slammed through the locker room door, her eyes growing wide as soon as she saw the two of you. "Good." She said before the two of you could respond, leaving as quickly as she arrived.
Vada practically jumped off of your lap, pulling you off of the bench at once and heading for the door. "I am still going to beat you y/n." She hissed as she dragged you back toward the field, both of your necks and chests still covered in red marks deepening in color.
"Unlikely." You smiled back, shaking her off of you and running toward your team, "You'll be too distracted by the memories of me!"
She just shook her head and laughed, "I'll shut you up later y/l/n."
