Jennie's pov

His grey eyes met mine again and I gave him a bright smile, as bright as I can with my whole body in pain.

Tears streamed down my eyes mixing with the
blood from the cut on my cheek. We have only been
away for a few hours but it felt like years and my
happiness is boundless right now.

But alas, like every good thing in my life, Bang Pd had to shit on this moment too. He grabbed my hair, pulling on it till I am standing in front of him. His knife pressed against my neck. My whole figure stiffened and my eyes widened. I saw a tinge of fear in Taehyung's eyes as well as Bang Pd pressed it against my neck before he hid it.

My eyes strayed from him only to meet Leo's
panicked ones from where he stood behind Tae.

"Come closer and she dies" he announced

"Let her go, Bang Pd," he said coldly

"And why would I do that?" Bang Pd says smugly as if he isn't completely surrounded right now.

"She has nothing to do with this Bang Pd. Hand her over and we will talk it over" Taehyung said calmly, his stands still gripping the gun"She has everything to with this. She is the main pawn in this rivalry" Bang Pd laughed sinisterly causing me to shiver

"You are surrounded. Let her go and you will live"
Tae warned him but he just pressed the knife
deeper and a trail of blood ran down my neck
causing Taehyung's grip to tighten on the gun but he can't
shoot since Bang Pd is using me as his human shield.

"You won't let me live after everything I did. I am not
stupid" he commented "If I die, I will die taking your
little girlfriend with me"

My head throbs as he laughs sinisterly from behind
me. My knee hurt too much. I feel dizzy and I would
have collapsed if not for Bang Pd's tight grip on my waist.

"Drop the weapons and kick it or she dies this
second" his second hand who has been standing
silently this whole time announced. When no one did
as he said, Bang Pd dug the knife deeper into my neck causing me to whimper and Taehyung's and my father's eyes hardened with anger before they complied dropping their guns and kicking them toward us."Good boys" Bang Pd taunted them making my fists
clenched at his blatant disrespect to my loved ones.

The two out of three remaining guards of Bang Pd
went behind my father and kook, holding their hands, the third still restraining a frozen Jihyo causing me to internally roll my eyes. As if they can restrain them. The only reason they are not fighting back is because of me.

"What do you want?" My father yelled frustrated

"I want you all to suffer. Both your mafia's had
always been better than mine. Always a thorn on my
way and I know I will die so I will make sure you
suffer too and what better way than to kill her" Bang Pd replied like a villain running a finger down my cheek.

"Haven't you already made us suffer too much" my
father said

They won't do anything till I am not safe so now I will have to do something. Tuning out the conversation between Leo and Bang Pd, I replay Taehyung's self-defence lessons in my head reminding myself of what to do when you are restrained.'If an attacker grabs you from behind, jerk your
head back as hard as you can so that you hit them head back as hard as you can so that you hit them
in the face or neck This should loosen their grip on
you. If they don't quite let go, bend down and reach
between your legs to grab the back of their calf or
knee, and pull it towards you with as much force as
possible. I remember him telling me.

I looked at him to see him already staring at me and
I silently blinked at him, communicating my intentions
wordlessly and he understood like he always does.

He passed me a small smile and nodded his head
encouragingly at me.

"What the fuck are you two." Before Bang Pd can
complete his sentence I jerked my head back hitting
his nose and a crack sounded as his grip on my neck and waist loosened. In his distracted state, I reached between my leg and grabbed his knee pulling it towards myself just like he taught me, wincing when my injured knee aches as it now carries my weight.

Quickly bending down, I picked up a gun that was
kicked towards us and pointed it towards Bang Pd whose eyes now reflect fear.

From the corner of my eye, I see Taehyung and Leo freeing themselves.

"You wouldn't shoot", Bang Pd says, challenging me"Wouldn't I?" I said confidently as Taehyung stand behind me, holding my weight as he sees me struggling to put my weight on my knee. My heart melts at it, he is always taking my burden on himself.

I align my finger against the trigger just as another
gunshot resonates and a sharp pain shoots at my
shoulder causing me to let out a scream and my
father to quickly pick up a gun from a few meters
away from his feet and shoot at Bang Pd's second in command who I am guessing shot me judging by the grin on his face More shots resonate throughout the room as Taehyung holds me to his chest.

My head spins and I am about to fall only to be caught by Taehyung. Looking into his eyes I whispered "I missed you" smiling at him

"I missed you too. Don't close your eyes Jennie.
Hold on for me love" he whispered back kissing my
forehead so tenderly, a tear trailed down my eye.

I tried to keep my eyes open but they are too heavy.
I finally allowed myself to succumb to the darkness knowing I will be safe in his arms as his warmth cocoons me.
