Jennie's pov

"Yes. one more step baby" he encouraged me as I
moved my leg. Another step towards him. Another
step towards healing. It felt like I was walking for the first time all over again

"You are doing so good love. Come to me" his
expression is filled with pride and his voice with
love as I moved my wobbly leg. I am just a few steps away from him now. When I lifted my leg to take another step, I stumbled and closed my eyes waiting for the impact that never came.

Opening my eyes, I found myself in Taehyung's arms. His familiar musky scent surrounded me like a blanket and I took a deep breath to inhale as much of him as I can.

"It's okay. You took eight steps all by yourself”
he assured me while the physician brought the
wheelchair closer to me and helped me sit back on it.

"Ms. Kim. You have a lot of willpower. Some
people couldn't walk after this type of damage and
some take much more time but it all depends on the
determination. And yours healed you in just two
months" Mr. Brown, my physician said before he
took his leave, leaving me with a smiling kook."Ms. Kim ?" I asked with my mouth curving in
distaste. I have nothing against my original surname
but it felt like a disrespect to my adoptive parents
who took care of me for more than 5 years before
they died.

"Don't you worry, it will be Mrs. Kim soon enough" Tae teased and I slapped his chest

"Shut up Tae." I said rolling my eyes

"Alright. I am taking you out on a date tonight" he said as he pushed my wheelchair to our room "to
celebrate" he continued as he picked me up and laid
me in bed

"Where?" I asked excitedly.

It's been a while since I have gone out except for the daily walks on which he took me after he got back from work. I, on the other hand, can't go to the office with him so I work from home although I am done with the internship now. I can apply for my masters now.

It still feels surreal how it's almost been six months
since we met again. It feels like it was just yesterday that I bumped into him in front of the cafe

"You will see," Taehyung says bringing me out of my
thoughts."I guess we will"

"We are here" he said as he parked the car. Before I can say anything, he pulled out a black scarf and draped it over my eyes.

"What is this for?" I asked

"Obviously so you can't see" the smartass said in a
duh voice and my hands twitched wanting to punch his beautiful face.

"No shit sherlock" I muttered. I felt myself being
picked up in his arms and then seated in the
wheelchair before he pushed it. After what felt like
two minutes, he stopped.

"Ready?" He asked, removing the blindfold when I
nodded. It took me a few seconds to clear my vision
and when I did, I gasped.

We are standing in front of the rose gardens
where he took me on a date before but instead of
the previous sign, it now states 'Jennie's rosarium'
decorated with roses around it."W.what?" I tilted my head in confusion

"A little gift for my girlfriend" he said as if we were talking about a bouquet instead of the whole garden.

"You call it a little" I said with disbelief

"It's little in comparison to what all you deserve. You
love roses and you loved this place so it's yours
now" he says and I could have literally melted into a
puddle

"Did I tell you that you look beautiful tonight?" he
asked and a faint smile touched my lips

"Like 100 times before" I answered and I can feel
his smirk

"I need to tell you hundred times more then."

I am wearing a casual denim brallete crop top
and blue jeans tonight and Taehyung have already told me several times how much he liked it.

He pushes the chair through the entrance and
eyes welled up when I saw our pictures decorating
the way."This is so sweet" I said

"You liked it?"

"Yes."

He plucked a rose from a bush and gave it to me.

"A rose for the most beautiful rose," he said giving it to me

"You are so Cheesy" I laughed taking it

"Only for you baby" he said smiling

"Better be or I will knee you where the sun doesn't
shine" I joked

"How will we make babies then?" He laughed when I
blushed

We stay silent afterward as he takes me to the
gazebo where we had dinner before. Soft music is
playing through the speakers and a table is set up.
everything is just like before and I liked it.

He picks me up and set me up on a chair.

"Before we start dinner, I have something for you"
he stated nervously "I can't wait anymore," he said
as he pulled out something from his pocket and my
breath hitchedOh my god. Is he....?

"Don't worry. I am not proposing...yet" he said making me take a sigh of relief

I don't know what I would have answered. I do want
to marry him but it's too soon.

But the contract states that we have to marry 6
months from now? I pushed the contract out of my
mind like I always do before focusing on Taehyung who slipped the ring into my hand. It is a delicate gold diamond ring.

"It's Beautiful"

"This isn't a proposal but a promise ring. I promise
to be always there for you and never leave you
alone as I did earlier. To be always your support
system and I promise to marry you when we are old enough" he said kissing my hand

I pulled him down and kissed him. This man is a
blessing. A blessing that I would forever thank god
for. I kissed him with my everything because he
didn't deserve anything less than that. Pulling away,
he is breathing hard just like me and his cheeks are
flustered but he quickly took his seat."I just want you to know that the contract may state
that we had to marry in six months but fuck it. We
have so much to do before and I will wait till you are ready" he said and I nodded

"I love you" I stated randomly because I do more
than anything

"I love you angel" he smiled
