"Y/N you're back!" DoHee smiled and ran up towards you with a bright smile on her face. Nothing much about her had changed, if anything she looked the same as before.

As if you never left to begin with.

"Yeah, and I decided to come back..." You nervously rubbed the back of your neck and she laughed to herself.

"What made you want to come back? It was so sudden." When she remembered she clasped her hands together and raised her eyebrows, curiously waiting for your answer.

You thought for a moment - If you were being completely honest, you were just going to go home for the night but plans took a turn. Coming back here wasn't how you thought you'd be spending the rest of the night. Eventually, Jiyeon will go crazy and demand you to come back.

However, you were just going to enjoy the night for now and think of those things later as all they would bring you is a bad mood.

"Somi isn't here anymore so there isn't a point... If it's fine with you?" You replied nervously.

"Of course, it's fine with me! I'm glad you were even willing to come back in the first place. Don't worry about Somi, she won't be coming back tonight." She nodded her head and mischievously laughed.

"That's a relief." You exhaled.

For a moment, she stood silent and examined your face. The makeup you were wearing before had washed away completely now and not a single bit of makeup was on your face, leaving you barefaced.

"It's random saying this... But are you not wearing makeup?" She asked with eyes wide open.

You shook your head. "No, it started raining before." You nervously laughed and avoided eye contact.

"No way..." She eyed you up and down crossed her arms and then squinted her eyes because she didn't believe you.

"Hm?" That caught your attention.

"You look the same. I can't believe it..." It was a compliment you had never expected to hear coming from someone else you didn't have any choice but to not believe it.'

"Haha, don't joke like that." You playfully scoffed and she shook her head with eyes wide.

"No seriously - You look the same."

You weren't used to hearing a compliment on your appearance. For years insults were thrown at you by everyone you walked outside in public. So of course eventually it leads to you feeling self-conscious of your appearance and doing everything to your advantage to change it.

Even though DoHee confirmed her statement, you still didn't have it in you to believe her.

It was still awkward between you two as it hadn't been long since you'd both met each other. but hopefully, they should change soon.
Maybe or maybe not? It didn't matter to you anymore.

You were still going to keep the same mindset. Not wanting friends and not wanting attention on you. Not caring about anything anyone else tells you, as it's your only coping mechanism.

If you show people that you don't care, then they won't bother you anymore. Then after months of having that mindset, it eventually became your true mindset.

"What are you two doing over here?" Another voice asked.

DoHee looked to the side and she sighed a sigh of relief and walked towards him.
"You're here. Where did you disappear to?" She placed both hands on her waist and looked him in the eyes.
