FIVE YEARS AGO
"It's our fifth friendship anniversary! I can't believe the time flew past that quickly!" She pulled me into a tight unbearable hug and I quickly hugged her back. I couldn't believe it either.

These five years have flown by and I still can't process the fact it's been that long already.

Dahyeon had that same happy expression on her face and I couldn't help but smile at it. She seemed so excited and cheerful for this day. Half a decade we have been friends for, I can't believe it.

"So what should we do for today?" She held my hand and looked up at me with excitement in her eyes.

"Hmm... I don't know... You choose!" I pointed, however, she hummed in confusion.

There was a moment of silence and her eyebrows were furrowed as she thought of the perfect place to go together. I was also stuck in a thought loop. There wasn't a suitable place that we both could think of at the top of our heads.

Her eyes then lit up.

"How about we go to..." She paused.

I was intrigued.

"We can go to the cinema again like last time! I will choose something..." She pointed her finger and smiled cheerfully.

I thought for a few moments and then thought why not? It has been a while since we have spent time together like this, so I can't miss any chance I get to do so.

"Sure, why not?" I grinned and she held my hand and giggled.

I was then running together with Dahyeon, and as a consequence, I was taken out of breath. But I stopped running shortly after held my hands on my knees and began panting like my life depended on it.

Dahyeon paused and looked down at me. On the other hand, she was laughing and holding my hand to bring me back to my feet. It irritated me in the slightest, but it's only acceptable if it's Dahyeon.

"Come on, it's only a run!" She grabbed my hand and I was taken aback as we both began running again. I didn't even get a chance to catch my breath and I was off again. Does she want me to die?

"It won't take so long! Just hurry!" Dahyeon yelled. I breathed heavily in and out as we both ran as fast as possible.

We eventually arrived and I sat down on the first bench I saw. I could barely breathe and it looked like she found this amusing. Every second of it.
"It wasn't so bad, was it?" She winked and sat down beside me, crossing her legs.

I looked at her and gave her a confused stare. How is she not phased by this?

"You're evil." I breathed in and out, holding my chest with my hand. She chuckled once again and looked up at the large board displaying all the movies that were playing or were about to play.

"Which one?!" She excitedly yelled but I covered her mouth with my hand because people were looking at us.
I laughed and moved my hand away.

"You're gonna get us kicked out," I whispered in her ear and covered her with my hand. That was when Dahyeon dramatically gasped and shut her mouth.

"But which one?"

"I don't know, we can look around. Choose anything and I'll pay for it." I smiled but she froze after standing up from the seat, after that, she glared down at me. As if thinking I'm stupid for even suggesting that.
