"T-The what?!" Your mouth hung open in shock and disbelief, your eyes growing wide as if an electric shock had just surged through your body. You couldn't believe what you had just heard, and for a moment, you were left stunned and speechless.

DoHee noticed your surprise and couldn't help but let out a laugh. The one thing you weren't expecting is to have embarrassed yourself in front of the manager.
Then find out that the person you met outside with DoHee was also him.

"Seriously?" You asked, knowing that her answer wasn't surely going to change.

"I wouldn't say it if he wasn't. Would I?" DoHee raised an eyebrow. But you felt completely hopeless and drained.

"So what you're saying is I caused a scene in front of... the manager?" Dreading the answer, but you questioned it anyway.

DoHee chuckled again.

"He doesn't care. Plus I was with you so nothing in him cares honestly."

Her words gave you the reassurance you didn't know you needed.
"But are you sure you're fine? You don't need to take a leave for the day or..?" Her worried voice healed a missing part of your heart, but you kept your composure.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It doesn't hurt for long." You shook your head and replied.

"Okay... But please tell me when it hurts again. I don't want you to deal with it on your own. Understood?" Her eyebrows furrowed and her tone was assertive and serious. You had no idea why she cared about you so much and you don't even know her but that would be left until another day.

While thinking for a moment, you then silently nodded and she smiled in content.

At least there was someone here who cared for you. DoHee didn't give you such a bad vibe as Somi did, but maybe that's just a personal problem of blindly trusting people. Somi could be the most genuine and kindest person in the world but something about her still gives you a bad feeling.

Somi hasn't physically done anything for you to feel that way about her, but the way she smiled at people walking by and immediately rolled her eyes as if she wasn't interested at all.

But who would be if they worked a 9 to 5?

DoHee felt genuine, she showed care for you and took you somewhere private when you were a pain. But you made sure to keep your word on never replacing Dahyeon no matter what happened. DoHee is kind and all, but no one will make you as happy as Dahyeon did.

It's something you're going to have to get over someday. Jiyeon was right, you can't keep living your life afraid of replacing and betraying Dahyeon. She would've hated to see you this way and so worn out over her.

It seemed your casual silence was worrying DoHee even more because her voice suddenly raised and caused you to jump in fear.

"Y/N!?" She yelled and placed both of her hands on both your shoulders.
As you snapped back into reality, life hit you harder than you realized as she sighed in relief and sunk back into the seat.

"You scared me. Don't just go silent and unresponsive like that." Her serious tone reminded you of the scolding your sister would always give you. She and Jiyeon were more alike than you thought.
