Chapter six

Enids POV:

"She has no reason to be mad, right?" I say passing around Yokos dorm.
"Do you actually want a response?" She asks.
"No."
"Didn't think so."
"She knows it's driving me crazy that she's mad and i don't know why she's mad."
"You know exactly why, Enid." Yoko says.
"What?" I say.
"Right, hear me out."
"Fine." I say sitting myself on her bed opposite her.
"I went to see her this morning."
"What? Why?!"
"Hey, no inturruptions." She says.
"Okay, i'm listening."
"She was all jealous about you being with Ajax, before you make some excuse implying that she wasn't jealous, she was. I don't think she even tried to hid it.
You guys clearly have this thing but you're both too stubborn to admit anything. I'm your best friend, I know you don't see her as a friend. Wednesday isn't easy
to figure out but think about all the things you pointed out about last year. It's obvious she has feelings for you."
"Okay, if that were true, that she somehow felt that way about me, why hasn't she said or done anything to prove it?" I ask.
"Oh, Enid. You know as well as I do that she's not like that. You of all people know that." Yoko replies.
"Well there's nothing I can do about it."
"Sure there is."
"What?"
"Tell her."

Time skip - 30 minuites

I'm sat in bed rocking back and fourth like an idiot waiting for Wednesday to come back.
I probably would have felt better if i stayed at Yokos, but I should be here when she's back.
The door opens and i've never been more relieved than when I saw Wednesday.
"Hey." I say.
She doesn't say anything.
"I'm sorry." I say hoping for a response.
"For what?" She asks.
I don't even know why i'm sorry.
"For whatever I did that made you upset."
"I'm not upset." She replies.
"You seemed it earlier."
"I was going out, Enid."
"Okay."
There's a moment of awkward silence. There's never awkard silence with me and Wednesday.
"Why were you with him?" Wednesday asks not looking at me.
"He has this thing with a girl, he wanted to let me know incase I wasn't over him so I wouldn't be suprised or hurt."
"Are you?" She asks.
"Am I what?"
"Over him?"
"Yes, i'm over him."
I probably should have said more than that.
"Good." She responds.
"Good?" I question with hope that she'll confess something.
"I mean... well it's good that you're over him otherwise you probably would have been upset."
"Right."
