Chapter seven

Wednesdays POV:

"Does this classroom not, like, give you truama flashbacks?" Xavier asks.
Nine. In. The. Morning.
What is it with these useless morning convosations recently?
"No, Xavier, it does not."
"You're a bundle of joy this morning, Addams."
"Do you have a death wish?" I ask half serious. More than half, actually.
"Awh, how I missed our little love hate relationship."
"Love? Relationship? Xavier, do you need your head examaned?"
"Don't think so."
"I will pay for your therapy, those who are delusional often need it." I say not facing him.
"Oh, shut up."
"Gladly."

Time skip - 1 hour

Class ends and I look behind me to see that Enids seat is empty.
I usually walk with her after class, maybe she just had something to do.
Not that i really care.
I walk out and she's not too far ahead so I catch up with her.
"Enid." I say once i'm closer to her.
She almost immidetly spins to face me.
"Hey." She sounds cheerful, yet worried.
"I, um, I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me to Jericho."
I sound like I lose 90% of my brain cells.
I probably should have figured out what to say before approching her.
I don't actually need to go to Jericho, it's just the first thing that came to mind.
"Oh, sure." She says, now she sounds relieved. "When are you going?"
"I scheduled a phone call with Eugine so it will be in around an hour." I say.
I do actually have a call with Eugune. He isn't back at nevermore because he is still recovering from last years injury.
Now I call him every now and then, not because i've gone soft but because I often feel like what happened to him was my fault.
Enid tells me it's not my fault, i'd really like to believe her.
Enid is with Yoko, Bianca and Divina so I can talk freely.

I call Eugine and he picks up quickly.
"Hey Wednesday!" He says cheerfully.
"Hello, Eugine. How's recovery treating you?" I ask.
"We're getting there. I'm coming back to nevermore soon hopefully!"
"I'm glad you're okay."
"Investigating anything you shouldn't be?" He asks.
He knows me well.
"Unfortunetly not." I respond.
"Eugune, I need to ask you something." I say after taking a moment.
"Okay."
"You can't tell anyone, okay?"
"You know you can trust me. Plus, now you have to tell me because i'm intereasted."
"Do you think Enid likes me?"
"In a more than friend way? I'd say so. Why do you ask?" He responds.
"Do you think I like her?"
"Wednesday why are you asking me about your feelings. Shouldn't you know that?"
"How would I know? I'm not experienced."
"You had a thing with Tyler. Plus, I don't think you need experience." He says.
"How do I know then?"
"You just know, I guess it's just a feeling."
