Chapter fifteen

Wednesdays POV:

"Can I kiss you?"
I ask Enid.
Well, I think I did. I really hope I didn't.
Her expression tells me that unfortunately I did just ask if I could kiss her.
"Oh, um, yes." Enid says, she sounds cheerful yet nervous.
"Okay." I whisper.
I move closer, although we were already close enough.
I take my time scanning her face, I should hurry, she's going to think I changed my mind.
I finally kiss her.
It was more than a peck, but I pulled away quickly.
"Thank y-" Enid starts speaking before I cut her off, stealing another kiss.
I didn't pull away quickly this time.
"You're welcome." I say with a smirk.
Even in the dark I can see that the colour of Enids cheeks match the colour of her hot pink backpack.
"Okay, now get some rest." I say, my tone soft but more serious than before.
"One more kiss and i'll consider it."
Enid says with a wide grin.
"Don't joke, Sinclair. One more then you are going to sleep."
"Fine." She rolls her eyes and giggles until my lips against hers cut her off.
"Goodnight." She says once I finally pull away.
I don't say anything, just give her a small grin.
After a while of far too many thoughts, I fall asleep.

Time skip - the next morning

I wake up to Enids arms wrapped around mine.
I carefully sit up so she doesn't awaken, she should get all the rest she needs after her transition.
I lift myself out of bed and head to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
I go casual as I won't be attending classes due to making sure Enid is okay.

After getting ready I take Enids bed sheets down to the wash room.
I'm not one to listen to music through headphones whilst walking, it makes me too unaware of my surroundings.
However if I think about the fact I kissed Enid Sinclair multiple times last night even once more, I will lose my mind.
Luckily the washroom wasn't busy since it's early.
The music didn't help cancel my thoughts.
We kissed, a decent amount of times.
What does that mean? What do I do now?
I don't want to mess up, however it's likely I will considering I have no idea what i'm doing.
