Chapter four

Enid's POV:

"We're going to be late." Wednesday reminds me for the 3rd time.
"I'll be there in just a second!" I say re-curling my hair.
"You said that 10 minuites ago."
She sounds annoyed.
I exit the bathroom in fear Wednesday will change her mind.
"You ready?" I ask her.
"Have been for an hour, lets go." Wednesday says.

Time skip - 20 minuites

The music becomes louder as we move towards the dorm where the party is being held.
"1 hour." Wednesday reminds me.
"I know, I know."
The door swings open revealing Bianca.
"Wednesday! Didn't think this would be your kind of thing." Bianca says.
"It's not." Wednesday replies.
"Enid make you?"
"Unfortunetly." She replies.
"Hey you!" Yoko says appearing from the crowd.
"Hey!" I say hugging her.
Wednesday doesn't say anything, not suprising.
"Wanna go get drinks?" I ask her.
"Sure."
I don't think i've ever heard Wednesday say 'sure', maybe that's why it sounded weird.
"You okay?" I ask her.
"I'm fine."
Before i have the chance to speak Xavier walks towards us.
He's somehow everywhere, he so obviously has a thing for Wednesday.
"You came." He says to Wednesday.
"Didn't do it for you." She replies.
"Sure. Wanna go talk somewhere?" He asks.
"I-" Wednesday begins to speak before I cut her off.
"It's probably better she sticks with me. You know, large crowd and all. We'll be going home in about an hour. Together."
"Wow, okay then." He says and walks away.
Wednesday is looking at me out of the corner of her eye sligtly smirking.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask.
"No reason." She replies.

Time skip - 40 minuites

"Hey you okay?" I ask Wednesday.
"I'm fine."
"You've been in the corner the whole time. Join in it's fun!"
"I like observing. You go have your fun." She says.
I love when she's sweet like that.
To any other person 'go have your fun' is a normal sentence.
However coming from Wednesday, it's extremely different.
I smile and walk back to Yoko.

"She good?" Yoko asks.
"Yeah, she likes observing apparently so she doesn't want to join."
"What was that whole thing with Xavier earlier?" Yoko asks.
"How'd you know about that?"
"I was standing behind you guys."
"It wasn't a 'thing'. I was annoyed." I reply.
"About?"
"Well...well it's extremely obvious he's still into her. She obviously doesn't want him, I don't see why he can't just leave her alone."
"You're jealous." Yoko says sipping on her drink.
"What? I'm not jealous! Wednesday is my friend and so obviously i'm annoyed that she's being harrased."
"You weren't mad about it at the end of last year."
"I had no right to be, I was with Ajax."
"Oh, so it's not because she's your friend." Yoko says in a mocking tone.
"What? You make no sense."
"You're saying you're mad about Xavier because Wednesday is your friend. If you only see her as a friend, why does it matter that you were with Ajax last year?"
"Well, you know what I mean." I say looking away.
Really exposed myself there. Rats.
"Yep, I know exactly what you mean." Yoko says smirking.
