Hawaii🌺
"Mother, I am fine. I am at a very early stage of my pregnancy, and the doctors have assured me that everything is proceeding as expected. There is no need for you to travel here, as we will be returning in three days..." I explained, cutting off my sentence as I shot Jermaine a disapproving look for disclosing details about the surfing incident and my pregnancy to my mother.
"Blabbermouth," I silently mouthed to him.
He leaned in closer to whisper in my ear, "Can't keep secrets from your mom, she's gonna find out sooner or later."
Despite rolling my eyes at his words, I couldn't help but smile at his attempt to justify telling her.
Shortly after being discharged from the hospital, we drove back to the beach house. The news of my pregnancy lingered between us, adding a new layer of significance to the remainder of our vacation.
"I don't think the reality of it will truly sink in until I have my first ultrasound," I said as we're in the car. "As wonderful as our vacation has been, I suddenly find myself feeling homesick. I believe it's because we have so much ahead of us to plan. I just can't believe how quickly everything is happening."
"Yes, there is much to consider now. But we will have time to prepare once we return home. We have three whole days left of this vacation to relax before we dive into all the planning," he replied reassuringly.
When we arrived at the beach house we both relaxed with a relaxing bath, soaking in the warmth of the water and letting the events of yesterday wash over us. As I leaned back against the tub, I felt a sense of calm and excitement for the next chapter of our lives.
Jermaine arm wrapped around me as I rested my head against his chest, feeling the warmth of the water soothing my tired muscles.
"Oh, hun, I just remembered our schedule boat trip tomorrow to Maui..."
Before I could finish my sentence, Jermaine chimed in. "I wouldn't want to take any unnecessary risks, especially with our little one on board. That being said I've cancelled it."
Turning to face him, I glared. "So all within this morning while I was in the hospital sleeping, you called my mother, told her everything, and cancelled our schedule trip tomorrow?" I sassed with sarcasm.
"I couldn't keep the surfing incident from her, and I must admit that the news of your pregnancy slipped out. The doctor advised you to take it easy, cancelling the boat trip was a necessary precaution," he explained.
I couldn't stay mad at him for long, knowing that he only had the best intentions at heart. I leaned in and planted a soft kiss on his lips.
"You've just about redeemed yourself," I playfully remarked.
"I'll have to prepare myself for these pregnancy mood swings," he chuckled, wrapping his arms around me as we relaxed in the bath.
"You better buckle up, because I have a feeling it's going to be quite the rollercoaster," I said with a playful grin.
