Phone conversation📞...

Renae: The term morning sickness? Well, it's a big, fat, stinking, lie. Morning, noon and night sickness is more like it (Mumbled)

Jermaine: I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well, babe. Continue to drink the ginger tea first thing in the morning... (Trailed off)

Renae: I will. Oh honey, I had my first pregnancy crave.

Jermaine: Oh Damn, I missed your first crave. What was it, babe?

Renae: Corndog dipped in peanut butter.

Jermaine: Wow that's quite the combination. I wish I could have been there to see the look on your face when you had that first bite.

Renae: It was actually really good. I never would have thought those two things would go together. Pregnancy cravings can be so unpredictable. I have a feeling this won't be my only random craving.

Jermaine: I wish I could be there with you right now, but I'll make it up to you when I get back home.

Renae: I can't wait for you to come home. I miss you so much. You've been doing incredible during your games... (Trailed off)

Jermaine: Hard work pays off. I miss you too, babe. Just a few more days and I'll be back. I love you.

Renae: I love you too, Jer.

Jermaine: I'll let you get some rest. Goodnight, babe.

Renae: Goodnight, honey (Silently tearful)

After the call ended, I grabbed a tissue to dry my tears, you would think by now I would be use to Jermaine being away for during away games, but each time he's gone it feels like a piece of me is missing. The pregnancy hormones aren't helping either, as they seem to amplify every emotion I'm feeling.

I had a significant amount of administrative tasks to attend to for the salon, so I retrieved my laptop and started working on scheduling appointments and ordering supplies. After, I took a break from my work to make myself a cup of ginger tea. The warm, soothing drink helped settle my stomach and ease some of the nausea that had been plaguing me all day.
