The doctor's words echoed in my mind as she entered the room, her calm demeanor giving us a sense of reassurance. She explained that due to the early stage of the pregnancy, a scan couldn't be performed just yet. Instead, the first scan would be scheduled in a few weeks, allowing us to get a glimpse of the tiny life growing inside Keshia.

In the meantime, the doctor emphasized the importance of Keshia taking her prenatal vitamins and following a healthy diet. She assured us that there would be regular check-ups throughout the pregnancy to monitor both Keshia's health and the baby's development.

Keshia and I arrived home still stunned but extremely happy. She's was overwhelmed with emotions as she processed the news. The thought of becoming parents after such a long and difficult journey brought her tears and comfort.

"Kesh, As much as I would like for you to be at the Miami game, I think you should stay home and rest. Your health and the health of our baby are the top priorities right now," I said, propping the cushions on the couch for her to sit comfortably.

"Babe, please don't start treating me like a china glass," Keshia laughed weakly, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "I'm just a little nauseous, that's all."

"I just want to make sure you and the baby are okay, so if I have to be overly delicate and cautious, then so be it," I replied, getting her a glass of water and some crackers to help with the nausea.

She leans in and kisses me tenderly, her eyes filled with gratitude and love. "We've been through some obstacles, but one thing I never doubted was your love for me."

"You've made me into a better man, Kesh," I said, wrapping my arms around her.

Despite my recent transition into motherhood, I am still actively involved in the management of my salon. I am present at the salon a minimum of three times each week to oversee daily operations, make necessary decisions, and ensure that everything is running smoothly.

I am determined to balance my responsibilities at home with my passion for my business. I may not be physically present every day, but I am always available to my employees for any guidance or support they may need.
