"That's it, I'm leaving."

Misuk hated unpunctuality.

Her mother always taught her how precious time was and it infuriated her to the core when someone was late. Especially when she was the one setting up the date, time and place.

"Misuk-ssi?"

The girl spun around slowly, hoping it was the person she was supposed to meet with, and when he encountered her bitchy face, he had no other option than stepping back.

"You're late, idiot."

Kang Minhee was standing in front of her, wearing a pair of blue jeans, a grey hoodie and sunglasses to protect his eyes from the sun. Starship was thinking of a collab stage between Nova and Cravity so Minhee saw an opportunity to try and finally befriend Misuk, who was the same age as him, so he gave his number to Nova's manager and hoped for the best.

"Please, don't kill me" he rushed to say. Misuk sat back down again. "There was a problem at our dorm. Food, cooking, you know?"

Misuk nodded. "I live with two animals, I do know. I can't imagine how hard it is for you though, too many people."

The pair was texting 24/7 so the conversation was already full of life since they kinda knew each other at this point. Misuk went rambling on and on about life and Minhee caught himself just admiring her, as shyness took over and controlled his actions. He was a good listener anyway.

Both order iced lattes and tiramisus, and the image of Sunghoon loving this appeared in Misuk's mind. She shook her head like that would make him slip out of her thoughts and continued the chat with her new friend like nothing happened. Maybe this is how she starts to move on.

"You didn't like it?"

Misuk came back to earth. "No, no, I love this place. I was just zoning out, don't worry."

The american girl softly smiled and continued to eat her dessert while Mingee talked about something she wasn't even paying attention to.

Her mind was on Sunghoon. She felt like she was cheating on someone who doesn't even see her that way. This is insane.

Misuk's phone started ringing and she turned it around to find Sunghoon's name on the screen. Is this a joke?

"Sorry, I'll be back."

Misuk ran towards to the door and the fresh cold air of a winter day made her shiver, Minhee stared at her through the glass.

"Hi, what happened now?"

Sunghoon laughed awkwardly, he could tell something was up with the girl. "What do you mean? I'm just calling you to see how you are. Is that crazy?"

"Of course you are" Misuk mumbled sarcastically. he called her every day since she left Japan. He's busy and still finds time for her, time to confuse her. "I'm doing something right now, I'll talk to you later."

"You are?" he quickly asked. "You didn't told me you had plans."

"I don't have to tell you?" she snapped. Sunghoon checked to see if maybe he got mistaken and called someone else. "I'm on a date, so please if you don't mind."

A what?

Misuk smacked her forehead as she couldn't believe the words that just came out of her moth and he was sure she was able to hear the sound of his heart breaking through the phone.

"Oh" he said. "That's great, have fun then."

"Bye, I'll talk to you later."

Sunghoon was about to stop her to find out more but she had ended the call already. He was frigid like a statue and had no idea what to do now. He was right, it was too late.

Misuk hid her face on her freezing hands and wanted to scream until her voice was gone, but she knew Minhee was watching her so she had to behave. How was she fixing this mess now?

Why did she even lie for?

"Is everything okay?" he asked. He was worried and Misuk found that lovely.

"Yeah, yeah" she inhaled. "Actually, not really".

The tall guy giggled. "Is this about a guy? Or girl, I don't know, but I can help though."

Misuk thought that maybe, in another life, she would've found the guy so adorable but her heart already belonged to someone else, even if she knew how badly it could go down.

"Boy, get comfy, it's a long story."
