You were on the beach, watching the pogues surf, Sarah lying next to you trying to get a tan. "Sarah you seriously don't need to tan anymore you're as tanned as you could possibly be" you say, looking over at Sarah who's smirking at you. "So, when are you going to stop changing the subject whenever I ask about your huge crush on jj?" she says, laughing lightly. You knew you liked jj, practically all the pogues did, except jj, obviously.
You roll your eyes. "Never, because you already know the answer to all the questions you have for me" you respond with a smile. You saw all the pogues coming back over to you and Sarah. "i'm so hungry can we please go and get some food" Pope whines. You weren't particularly hungry, "i'm not really that hungry, i'll go back to the chateau" you say as you start collecting your stuff to put in your tote bag. "neither, i'll come with you y/n" said jj, offering you a hand to help you up.
Kiara and Sarah both smirk at you, then at each other. "okay, well we'll see you guys in a bit, bye" John B said as the others all walked away. "how come you didn't want to go with them?" you say as you look up at jj, who was looking at you already. "Well, I couldn't leave you just to be all by yourself, and we haven't hung out just me and you in a while." He smiles to himself as he looks out at the ocean, the gentle breeze perfectly moving his hair. You couldn't help but smile.
"I know you don't like parties.. but, there's a party tonight and I was wondering if you'd want to come?" jj said awkwardly. You knew he hated asking you to go to parties because usually you said no, but tonight you felt different, you wanted to go. "sure" you said, his head turned towards you almost instantly. "really?" jj didn't think you were being serious.
When you get back to the chateau, you guys hang out for a bit and then you go and get ready for the party. "don't take too long getting ready we need to meet the others" jj said as you walk into your room. As you go to your bathroom, you realize that you haven't actually worn makeup in a while and felt like doing more makeup than usual. Mascara, concealer, blush and bronzer. You put on a black dress, it was quite short and you felt a bit self conscious in it.
"hey j does this dress look alright? I don't how I feel about it-" you say as you look up to see that jj is staring at you. "that's not helping j, i can't tell if you're staring at me because it looks awful or if it looks okay" you say, worrying about his thoughts as he looks at you.
"earth to jj?" you're still standing there. You go up to him and wave in his face, he's just looking up at you, his phone that was in his hand is now on his lap. "I- uh- it- it looks amazing, y/n" he finally responds to you, "are you sure? I just-" you're fiddling with the bottom of it when you're interrupted "y/n, you look perfect" jj says, looking into your eyes, making you blush.
Butterflies began to fill your body, "okay um, let's go" jj says as he grabs the car keys off of the counter. The sky had begun setting, filling the sky with beautiful orange and blue colors.
When you get to the party, you realize how crowded it is and begin to feel nervous. JJ picked up on your nerves, "y/n, it's okay. just have fun" he says giving you a reassuring smile as you both go and grab drinks.
After a few drinks, the other pogues eventually find you. It was a bit awkward as Pope and Kiara were dating and Sarah and john B were dating, making you and jj the only single ones. "y/n you look stunning!" Sarah says as she pulls you in for a hug.
The night goes on and you're all having fun, quite drunk, but someone convinces everyone to sit around the bonfire and play truth or dare. You never really liked truth or dare because it made you anxious as you waited for your turn, but you decided you were just going to play for fun.
JJ comes and sits down next to you. As the game goes on you start to feel more anxious as you knew it was your turn soon. Your leg was bouncing up and down. You felt a hand on your thigh, it was jj. His hand was warm, your leg stopped bouncing as he whispered in your ear "you okay, y/n?" you nodded, butterflies filling your stomach. Without realizing, you had began to play with the rings on jj's fingers. When you realized you were, your face turned bright red.
"hmm.. y/n! truth or dare?" someone random shouted in your direction. You instantly panicked and just spitted out a random word "dare?" you instantly regretted saying dare, truth would've been the easier option. "hmm, okay, i dare you to kiss JJ"
JJ instantly looked at you and you instantly looked at him. You hadn't had your first kiss yet, and he knew that. "y/n you don't have to, don't waste your first kiss" he whispered into your ear.
"well it wouldn't necessarily be wasting it would it?" you whispered back into his.
He looked at your eyes, then your lips and then suddenly you felt his lips against yours. It felt like a whole wall of tension had just been torn apart. His hand moved to your jaw, your hand on his chest.
You broke the kiss, everyone around you guys was cheering. Your face was redder than it had ever been, your leg began to bounce again but jj did the same as he had done before, putting his warm hand on your thigh.
Everyone had continued the game, but you had slowly started dozing off. Eventually, you gave in to your tiredness and fell asleep on jj's shoulder.
"Y/n.. y/n" jj gently said as he tried to wake you up. He was softly nudging you, eventually waking you up. "come on, i'll take you back to the chateau" he said as he helped you up.
You got in the car and he drove back to the chateau, leading you to your room. You stop in the kitchen "jj can we watch a movie before we go to bed?" you whine.
he stops and looks at you, contemplating if it's a good idea or not. "sure" he says. You're in the kitchen getting a glass of water as he sits down, grabbing the remote. "what do you want to watch?" he asks.
"you pick, i dragged you to watch a movie so it's only fair" you reply, walking over to the sofa. He's lying down, his head against the arm rest. You sit down at the other end of the sofa until he signals for you to come over to him. "you didn't drag me to watch a movie with you, you know if I didn't want to then I wouldn't" he says.
You lay your head on his chest, wrapping your arms around him. Whatever movie he put on didn't matter, you were already falling asleep as he rand his fingers through your hair.
You're both fast asleep on the sofa when the rest of the pogues get back. "awhhh they're so cute" says Sarah.
"shh, they're asleep don't wake them up" says John B as he comes over to you guys and takes a picture of you both then sends it to the both of you. Kiara then accidentally drops something and it wakes jj up.
"what are you guys doing?" he groans tiredly. Everyone looks over awkwardly at jj and you.
"we just got back from the party, how long ago did you guys get back?" Pope asks as jj slowly starts to get up "like, an hour ago?" jj responds as he gently wakes you up to take you to your room. "night guys" jj says as he closes the door to your room.
"here, take my hoodie and go get changed" jj says as he takes his hoodie off and handing it to you. You grab some shorts and go get changed in the bathroom. As you come out, you see jj shirtless in your bed with grey joggers on, on his phone. "y/n before you get in can you quickly put my phone on charge" jj asks, you nod and as you're plugging it on, you see his lock screen.
It's the photo John b took of you guys on the sofa. It makes you smile as you walk to bed. His arms wrap around your waist as he places his head in the crook of your neck. "goodnight y/n" he says in a sleepy voice.
"goodnight j" you respond, smiling as you both doze off to sleep.
