Chapter Three
"Hold on. Sarah why Sarah?"

They all sit around the campfire, Lily sat by JJ cleaning up his face, "Hey guys, so like my dads already going to kill me. So what's this mandatory meeting about?." Pope asks throwing in wood. "Yeah, it has to be important." Kie asks curious, "You ready for this?" JB says, they all nod, "The gold never went down with the Royal Merchant." JohnB says looking right at Pope. "Here we go again with this." Pope replies fed it, "Hear him out."JJ interrupts

"It's been here the whole time, it on the island" JB says looking at everyone, "I call bullshit." Lily implies, "Are you serious?" Kie asks. "I have evidence, in my backpack I have a letter from Denmark Tanny." he says pulling out a letter, "Denmark who?" Lily asks with her eyebrows raised. "Denmark Tanny was a slave, he survived the Royal Merchant wreck. Here look at the letter." JB says handing Lily the paper, then continues, "Slaves weren't mention as the crew members on the ship, but my dad found the complete manifest. So Tanny used the gold to buy his freedom." he stops, Lily hands the paper to Kie then looks back at JohnB.

"After that he bought his farm at Tanny hill notation. After that he used his money to free even more slaves, then he sold a shit ton of rice, which pisses off all the white planters, and then they decide to lynch him." he stops again. "That's a lot to take in, but continue." Lily says resting her head on JJs shoulder. "So on the day they were coming to get him, he wrote a letter to his son as a farewell. In the last line of the letter, is a coded message where to find the gold."

"Where?" Kie asks smiling, "Harvest the wheat in parcel nine, near the water. Except there's no wheat. So wheat is code for gold so the gold is in parcel nine, near the water." he says hitting Pope on the shoulder softly. "Holy shit." Lily says sitting up. "All we need is an original survey map of the property, and we found the gold." JB says letting out a big breath smiling big.

"So what's the plan?" JJ asks standing by John B. "So Sarah Cameron is coming tonight. She's going to bring an original survey map-" Kie and Lily look at each other with dropped smiles, "Hold on. Sarah why Sarah?" Kie says with a confused look on her face, "This is gonna be good." JJ smirks. "Sarah um she got me into the archives in Chapel Hill yesterday, and that's where I got the letter."

"Wait, you were in Chapel Hill with Sarah Cameron." Lily says standing up, "He was mackin on her." the other twin adds

"I wasn't macking."

"You were totally macking Sarah Cameron."

"I wasn't macking on her okay, I was using her for access."

"There was definitely an access alright."

"Did you tell her about the treasure?" the brown haired girl asks standing up as well, "I was just trying to get into the archives." he says defending himself. "So that's a yes?" Lily says before bitting the inside of her cheek. "I left out key details." pope finally speaks up, "JohnB you're really not helping yourself between them two." he says looking back at the girls. "Yo, what?" Lily yells back. "You let a Kook in on out secrets?" Kie throws her hands in mid air.

"I was using her for information." JohnB replies back, "Why don't I believe you?" the blond girl says looking at him then her brother. "I'm trying to make us filthy rich here, so we can pay off a boat, or send you to autopsy school, do I look like the person to fall for Sarah Cameron."

"Do you want us to answer that?" Pope chimes in, "You don't know her like we do, you can't trust her." Lily says sitting back down. "Her brother did hit me in the back with a golf club." Pope speaks up again. "Rafe and Sarah are two different human beings." Lily scoffs, "Yeah, right." , "Just get in the twinkie please."

"Fine." Lily gets up and walks by JB, he puts his hand on her shoulder. "Get the fuck off me." she replies shoving his shoulder.

The car stops and JohnB looks back, "I think i'm going to do this one by myself." Kie and Lily roll their eyes. "Really?" JJ asks taking off his hat. "I just don't want to spook Sarah with the peanut allergy." he says climbing out the car, "I bet you already gave it to her while you were MIA." Lily says fidgeting with her rings. "It's just a meeting, we're not involving her." JB says before Kie could speak. "Promise nothing is happening between you to." Kie speaks up, "Nothing is happening, Kie." "You have to promise." Lily adds.

"I promise." Lily gives out a soft laugh not believing it. "That was really believable."JJ says lighting a blunt. "A hundred percent believable." Pope says sarcastically. "Okay, well i'm going to take care of business."

"Yeah you do that, while we sit in a hot ass car." Pope says nodding his head. JohnB leaves and Lily snatches the blunt from JJ and puts one end on her lips.

A couple minutes pass and Lily was standing outside the Twinkie when she heard screaming, "Did yall hear that?" Lily says looking at the others, "Hear what?" JJ says, she covers his mouth and points to her ear. "Please somebody help!" yelling says in a distance. "Oh wait, no we hear that." Pope says says jumping out the car, so does the others. They run to see JohnB on the floor with Sarah holding his head. "Sarah what the fuck happened?" Kie asks kneeling down to JB. "Topper shoved him."

"Where the hell is he?" JJ asks, "Pope go call someone, go hurry!" Lily yells, pope sprints off. Sarah cry's into JohnBs chest and kisses him on the lips making the two girls look shocked. "Please don't leave me." Sarah says kissing his forehead.

Lily was in the bathroom at the hospital cleaning her face, she had multiple tear stains and her eyes were puffy. Just as she's about to walk out she sees Rafe. "Not now Rafe." she says trying to move him out the way, "I just wanted to see how you were doing. That's all." he says putting his hands in his pockets, she looked up at him to see his hair wet and not gelled or slicked back. She thought it looked better like that and how he looks good. "Your screwing with my head, you do realize is was Topper who sent him here, right?" she asks, "He told me that JohnB just fell."

"The hell he did, he pushed him and could've killed him." Lily says starting to get mad just for thinking about it. "I know you don't like me, I just wanted to be here for you." that made he look directly at his eyes, she knew it was a lie and he could never think of her like that. "Why are you even here Rafe." she asks

"My dad thought it was Sarah who got hurt, and I tagged along." he says pulling his hair back. "Whatcha doin over here?" someone says from behind Lily. "We're just talking, it doesn't concern you." Rafe says, "Let's go Jay, i'm fine." she says walking away. "Stay away from my sister." JJ adds before walking away

Authors note: I wanted to publish this chapter today along with the other one, so I didn't have to keep yall waiting. Also not trying to rush things between the two and let the plot go smoothly.
