Chapter Twenty Seven

"Rafe, open the fucking door." Lily says rattling the locked door, they had went back to Tannyhill and Rafe was still mad so he threw her in the room and locked her in there. That's when she started banging on the door without stopping, until she realized it was no use.
Lily starts pacing back and forth then remembers she has her phone in her back pocket, she immediately calls JJ and on the first ring he answers. "Lily, are you okay?" he asks concerned.
"I'm in locked in a room, I might risk it all and break the window. Where are y'all?" she responds back quietly, "We're pulling up, once you get out run out back." he says and she hums and hangs up.
She puts her phone back into her pocket, she grabbed a lamp and threw it towards the window so it could break. She looked down from house and jumped without thinking, that's when she fell into the bushes.
"Lily, what the fuck?" Rafe says from afar, the girl scrambles out of the bushes and runs towards the back gate with Rafe running right behind her.
She runs and trys to hop the fence until he grabs her and pulls her down, she sighs and gets up. "Welp it was worth the shot." she mumbles under her breath.
"Lily, you need to stop doing this to me." he says rubbing her chin, she nods in agreement with no hope of going to her friends.
As they sit in the back of the house, a truck pulls us. Topper. Rafe gets up and Lily follows behind him, they started whispering so the girl couldn't really hear until she heard one comment.
"What? are you spying on her?" Rafe scoffs, she knew it was about Sarah. Before Rafe fully grabbed the phone from Topper Lily bumped into him making the phone fall into a puddle.
"Shit. Watch what the hell you're doing!" Topper yells, she flinched and step back. "I didn't mean to." she says looking down at the ground with a smirk.
Rafe immediately came to defense and walked up closer to Topper, making him step back. "Sorry Lily, just the heat of the moment." he says knowing what Rafe is capable of.
Lily walked back into the house and paced back and forth,"I'm so sick of this shit." she mumbles to herself.
The girl walks over to the only part of the house that didn't have cameras, grabs her phone and immediately texts JJ. 'Don't do anything stupid, i'll try to meet up with yall later.'
She walks back into the kitchen and bumps into Wheezie, "Lily, i'm so glad it's you." she says with a big breath.
"Sarah called me and told me to tell you that they were going to the church, and to help you get out." she whispers softly.
Lily nods and hands her the phone, then puts a finger up to her mouth to signal 'shh' , then points behind her at the camera. Wheezie gets the point and puts her number in.
"I love you so much for this." Lily says smiling and gives her a hug.
"I'll text you." she smiles as she lets go and walks back upstairs to her room.
A couple of minutes go by, Lily and Wheezie text back and forth on the plan, it was pretty simple. But the problem was that Rafe was watching her every move.
After they make the plan, Lily then paces back and forth around the house trying to look at any windows. The door was locked shut and Rafe only had the key.
"The side door, how could I forget." Lily whispers as she smacks her head with her hand.
She looks around outside and sees Rafe talking to Renfield, they seemed to be talking about something important but Lily couldn't figure out what.
She knew it was her chance to get out.
Lily slowly walked to a room and looked around before swinging the door open, making the alarm go off. "Shit." she says before running out the door and hops over the wall.
She falls onto the grass with a loud groan, "No time to waste." she says then stands up and runs onto the backroad.
As she runs down a main street, she spots a black car going full speed. Lily knew exactly who it was and hid behind a wall, the car didn't show down and just passed her.
She took a quick breather as she light jogged on the dirt roads.
Long minutes later she finally reached her destination. The swamp.
"Okay, but actually what the fuck?" Lily says walking up to JB, Sarah, and Pope sitting on top of the Twinkie.
They turn around and help her up, "Now my body is soaking wet." she laughs before hugging them all.
"JJ and Kie are on their way." Sarah says to clarify to Lily, knowing she was going to ask. She nods and looks around at the dirty water.
"What happened to you?" Lily asks, looking at JohnB who seems like he's in pain, but before he's about to speak JJ and Kie pull up in a truck.
"Look who it is!" JJ smiles as he gets out, "Where the hell were you guys?" Pope yells in frustration.
"Complications." Kie nods and points at JJ. "Luke was at the Chateau." the boy says while reaching into the back of the truck.
"Okay well, while you were having family time with your pops, JohnB got bit by a gator." Pope yells, Lily laughs at the fact that he sounds like a parent. As usual.
"That's what happened." JohnB leans and whispers to the girl before sitting back up. "Makes complete sense now."
