"Fuck, we're trapped"

Kie sat down next to Lily and stared at her hard, "Who was it?" she asks making Lily take a deep breath. "Rafe." the blond girl says looking back at Kie. The girls mouth was dropped and shook her head. "Why? He's a horrible person." Kie asks, "He's just misread, I don't think he's crazy like people claim him to be." Lily replies back shaking her head. "From first hand, I know he can't treat you right."

"Sarah!" JohnB yells and they all look in that direction, "Sarah!" Lily yells as she gets up, "You guys were right, it didn't work." Sarah says walking onto the sand, sniffing from crying. "Now, yall need to load up in the paddy wagon. and get the heck out of Dodge right now." JJ says glaring at Lily.

She rolls her eyes and looks at Pope as he begins talking, "Right, you'll need supplies, and you'll have to split as soon as possible." he says then Kies eyes widen, "Guys I think it's to late." she says and from a distance in the water are three cop boats with sirens on.

"Must have been your father." JB says, "We have to find another way out." Pope says getting the adrenaline rush, "Stay on the beach with your hands in the air!" A cop yells from a radio, they all start running and JJ puts Lily's arm around his neck to make sure she doesn't fall. They run into the tall bushes then reach water.

Lily was the last one to reach the water from swimming across, they all hide behind a tree and see cops from the water and trucks coming from the other side of them. "Fuck, we're trapped." Lily says trying to catch a breath, "No getting out of this, we gotta make a stand." JJ says cleaning his gun then reloads his gun. At that moment everything felt unreal to Lily, she started getting dizzy and lightheaded.

A lot was happening, JohnB trying to make sure JJ doesn't shoot, Kie and Pope looking out from behind the tree, and Sarah feeling anxious and panic. JohnB takes the gun out of JJs hands and drops it to the floor. "Here we go." JB says looking at the blond girl. Lily kicks the wet dirt over the gun and starts walking towards the cars with her hands in the air.

"Shoupe, I want to testify." the brown haired boy says putting his hands up as well, "I'm definitely not doing that." Lily mumbles to herself. They get down on their knees and look back at their friends. Two cops face them towards the ground and puts handcuffs on them. "This is honestly ridiculous, you think i'll hurt you?" Lily scoffs as a female makes sure the cuffs are tight.

Once Lily gets up the cop looks at her then throws her back down, "Your fucking lucky." Lily says as the girl kicks her in the chest. "No stop!" Kie yells, "Get the fuck off my sister!" JJ says getting mad. Another cop grabs JB then does the same thing. He kicks JohnB multiple times on his rib. The female cop then punches Lily in the face making her lip bleed, the girl gets her leg and raises it behind the cop to make her fall over.

Shoupe walks up to them and yells for them to stop, the two cops back up and nod. "You're really going to let that slide!" Pope yells, Shoupe grabs the two off the floor and puts them in the back of his truck. "Just great." Lily nods, her head was spinning, her vision was blurry, and that's when she passed out.

When Shoupe woke Lily up, they had already arrived at the police station. JohnB looks and her and nods, signing for everything being okay. JB took his mugshot first then next was Lily. She smiled as the light flashed. "And no, you can't see your picture." an old cop said knowing who was her family.

Deputy Plumb put JohnB and Lily into two different cells, they each look around and see a dirty bed, which they were used to but the sink and toilets had rust and covered in brown and orange.

Lily sat on the bed wondering if Rafe was the one to tell Barry, everytime she met with him something would go down the next day.

Rafe walked into the old trailer, "CountryClub, what are you doing here?" Barry asks, "Why did you go to JohnBs house? I told you not to go." Rafe says getting defensive. "Don't tell me this is about that pouge, Lily."

"I just wanted to spook them, but she wasn't even there." Barry continues, "Because she was with me." Rafe says clenching his jaw. "She is hot though. But I bet half the island slept with her already. " the black haired boy says, at that sentence Rafe walked closer to him and punched him in the face. "Don't fucking talk about her like that. Next time i'll kill you." Rafe claims in a statement, he kicks Barry who's on the floor then walks out.

He got ready for the trial and put on a black suit, "We're leaving, are you driving there?" Rose asks as she walks into Rafes room, he nods and walks out. When they arrive there, he walks in and sees Lily sitting there in full orange. Her least favorite color, which he knew of.

"John Booker Routledge, and Lily Maybank. Pursuant to the North Carolina statute section 14, you are charged with murder in the first degree with aggravated circumstances. If convicted, the maximum sentence would be the death penalty."

As those words came out, Lily could hear Kie and JJ yelling the loudest. Lily looks back and sees Rafe. He gives her a certain look, which meant he had it under control. "Your Honor, she's 16!" JJ yells, "JohnB, Lily. We're gonna figure it out." he continues as they walk out. Sarah walks closer to JohnB and screams his name.

Which led her to get held back by two cops. "Stop! Don't touch her." Kie yells as she holds Sarah into her arms.

"I should have never came home." Sarah says as she walks down the stairs outside. "They're gonna kill them, I know it." the blond boy says shaking his head. Kie overhears a conversation of people saying sorry to Ward. And him taking all the credit he can get.

"Can you please shut up? Of course you think the system worked because it was made to protect you and people like you." She says while the two boys stay behind her knowing she's capable of anything.

"He'll have his day in court. A jury will decide." a man says standing next to Ward. "He shouldn't even be in court! You should because you're a murderer. You have a lot of nerve showing up to court." Kie yells back, Rafe scoffs and that made Kie look over to him.

"Oh and you Rafe, we all know what you did. You may have Lily wrapped around your finger. But she seen with her own eyes what you did."

"I know you're upset. I understand you're upset, okay? I know he's got you fooled. He's got you all fooled." Ward claims. A crowd started to form around them and pictures being taken. Kie smiles then trys to go at Ward but JJ and Pope immediately grabbed her. "No, i'm not just upset." she yells.

"Why don't you take the Kooks down for a change." JJ yells at Shoupe. "You wanna get arrested? Get out! You need to go." Shoupe says in response. "It's not a coincidence that your daughter's sitting with us." Kie yells one last time before leaving with the others.

They get to the Chateau and Sarah tell them a plan. "Oh, Weezie? Yeah that will work?" JJ says in a sarcastic tone. "I got us in this mess, I need to get us out of it." Sarah says getting the blond boys phone and walks inside.
