A moon had passed since she killed Otterclaw and since Archpaw died. Once the RiverClan cats found his dead body, they suspected that WindClan had been to blame. When Grassstar denied it, RiverClan was furious. Only a quarter moon after Otterclaw's death RiverClan attacked a border patrol.

Snowpaw knew she had so little time before RiverClan figured out that she was here, especially since her warrior ceremony was coming up. She would have to go to the next gathering since she hadn't been to one yet and she would be a new warrior by that time.

She woke up with a start, all her dreams had not been her walking in the Dark Forest for such a long time, but every night she dreamed about RiverClan and all of the things they did to her. Her past clan haunted her even though she wasn't in it. Snowpaw needed to train in the Dark Forest more than ever now because of what would come in a moon. RiverClan would probably try to kill her in every battle. Snowpaw felt fear clog up her mind as she thought about it all.

She shifted in her nest and tried to forget about it. It was early morning at the time and pouring outside. She looked over to Heatherpaw who was still sound asleep. I would sleep in too if I didn't have nightmares every single time. With a heavy sigh, she put her head on her paws and tried to sleep a little more, even though she knew the darkness that awaited her...

"Look at her!" Minnowpaw sneered. She batted at her face with her claws extended leaving claw marks on her face. "She's so ugly!" Thrushblaze sniffed.

"Stormstep said that there was something wrong with her and she would turn out horrible. I don't want her near my kits, that little monster." Thrushblaze hissed. Snowkit backed herself into a corner and hid her head. Blood welled from the scratches on her cheek, they were small but still stung. She wrapped her tiny tail around herself as tears began to fall. She looked back for a second and was greeted by the medicine cat. She let out a small squeak of surprise.

"Have you ever seen a cat with those color eyes? I know I haven't." Thrushblaze huffed. Stormstep didn't reply, he just kept looking at Snowkit as if she were something to study.

"The things probably cursed. No normal cat would have eyes the color of blood unless they were diseased or albino. She's not either of those. Snowkit is StarClan cursed. I would advise putting her in her place. Keep a close eye on her too. Don't tell Pikestar any of this, she would only tell the clan the opposite since this plague is her niece. Just be cautious around her." Stormstep meowed. Thrushblaze nodded and glanced at Snowkit, fear visible in her eyes.

"Why does no one want to talk to me?" Snowkit asked Thrushblaze. "I try to be nice."

"Because everyone hates you," she replied. Snowkit felt her heart drop.

"Why though?"

"Because you are a curse. No one ever likes a curse."

"I'll keep trying."

"It won't work."

"I don't care!"

"Do that and you will only be pushed down even more."

"Can I play with you guys?" Snowkit asked Duskpaw and Minnowpaw. They both exchanged glances.

"Okay then. Let's play cat and mouse." Minnowpaw sneered. "We're the cats and you are the mouse. You better run now." Snowkit smiled and ran away into some of the bushes surrounding the camp. She waited a little bit and then heard one set of pawsteps come up to where she was. A few heartbeats later, a head shoved itself in front of Snowkit.
