"Snowkit, what do you want to do when you grow up?" Smokekit asked. They were standing at the entrance of the nursery like they always did when Thrushblaze wasn't around. Luckily for them, his littermates were taking a nap so they could not disturb them either. Snowkit looked sorrowfully at him.

"All I really want is to be a respected warrior. I want to make friends and live a life where they don't look at me as if I'm an outsider." she sighed. Smokekit licked her shoulder.

"Well, I am your friend so you already completed one of those goals." he chirped happily. Snowkit glanced at him.

"What do you want?" she asked. Smokekit looked at her and cocked his head and smiled.

"I just want to be happy. I don't care where or when or even how. I just want to be with my family and those I love because isn't the meaning of life to live it to the fullest?"

"What is the meaning of this?" Grassstar shouted. "I know our clans are not on best terms Pikestar but that is no excuse to act so harshly to our new warriors." Pikestar looked like she could hardly speak, she was staring at Snowclaw with a harsh gaze as if she was making sure it was her.

Snowclaw looked over to where RiverClan was. They were baring their teeth at her and some looked fearful. Snowclaw just smirked.

"Snowclaw! Why are they all looking at you like that?" Heathercloud asked. She felt guilty, but the truth had to be told. Before Snowclaw could answer, Pikestar looked at Grassstar and began to yell.

"She killed one of our cats!" she yelled. Grassstar sniffed.

"Well, it may have been an accident. She was once a loner after all and your patrol probably attacked when she crossed the border. Back then she was outside the code." Grassstar replied. Pikestar shook her head and multiple RiverClan cats yowled in disagreement.

"No, you don't understand. She was a RiverClan cat. Both her mother and father were RiverClan." Pikestar hissed. Gasps came from the cats below. Every cat around Snowpaw, her clanmates, stared at her.

"Snowclaw?" Heathercloud whispered.

"She killed her foster mother, Thrushblaze. We exiled her but she seemed to have come crawling back." Pikestar snarled.

"She's cursed!"

"No normal cat has red eyes!"

"Snowclaw is a murderer!"

RiverClan cats yelled insult after insult. It took everything she had to not lash out. Snowclaw felt relief and misery at the same time. She had lost the trust she had built with her clan, but no longer did she have to fear getting caught by RiverClan. What broke her heart the most was how Heathercloud looked at her.

"Is this true?" she asked. "It can't be." Heathercloud looked so desperate. Snowclaw could hardly look at her friend, or any of her clanmates for that matter.

"I-" she choked.

"If you are just going to disrespect my warriors then we will not stay any longer." he hissed. Pikestar laughed.

"StarClan knows the truth!" she yelled. "If we were lying and 'disrespecting' you the moon would be covered, but is it? No!" cats from RiverClan yowled in agreement. Grassstar leaped down from the tree and glared at everyone in the clearing. SkyClan, ThunderClan, and ShadowClan looked bewildered and their three leaders had gathered and were murmuring to each other.
