Snowpaw sprinted after a rabbit. her legs burned from the speed she was trying to go. Unlike the other WindClan cats, she didn't have the long, lean legs they had. So, as she sprinted after the rabbit, Heatherpaw quickly sped past her and tripped the rabbit to where it stumbled over. Heatherpaw made the kill bite and lifted up her rabbit proudly. Snowpaw felt anger flooding through her, but she soon calmed herself. You were never great at hunting in the first place, and this is a whole new learning method. They were built for this you weren't. She smiled at Heatherpaw to congratulate her clanmate, but as soon as she turned back around Snowpaw dropped her smile with a bitter gaze.

"Don't worry, you'll get it next time." a voice came from behind Snowpaw, making her jump. She turned and saw it was just Archpaw, and he was laughing. "You sure are jumpy." he laughed. Snowpaw growled.

'You would have jumped if someone came up from behind you." she huffed to him. She felt her heart beating widely as she looked into his blue eyes. It was stranger, that when she had first seen him he was screaming at his mentor to attack her, but then he had also grown up since then. He probably didn't even recognize her from when she had just been exiled. Now, he was so mature and so- Get ahold of yourself Snowpaw! This is no time to be thinking about that kind of stuff. You need to try to prove to your clanmates that you belong here.

"Well, what I really wanted to tell you is that I am thankful that you saved my brother the other day." he smiled. Snowpaw nodded, for some reason, she could hardly look at him, let alone speak.

"I just did what anybody would have done." she forced out.

"Oh come on. I bet half of the clan would have just stood there panicking." he shoved her playfully. "Now come on before Wrenthorn and Ferretpool get angry." he bolted off. For a second, Snowpaw sat there, smiling. She then shook her head and scolded herself. She quickly followed Archpaw. She had a hard time keeping up, and she suspected that he was going slower on purpose. Once they found their mentors, along with Heatherpaw and Stonetail. It was hard having to go in such large patrols, especially with some many apprentices, but Grassstar wanted to make sure the clan was safe from any RiverClan cats and that their apprentices were getting as much training as possible.

"There you two are." Wrenthorn huffed. "Come on, we have to go to the RiverClan border. No patrol has been over there for a couple of days." Snowpaw's entire body stiffened. She couldn't go to the RiverClan border. What if there was a patrol there? Or what if some cats that knew her found her scent? Snowpaw went to Ferretpool's side.

"Is there any other place we could hunt that is not the RiverClan border?" she asked desperately. Surprise flashed in her mentor's eyes.

"Are you scared?" she asked with a gin on her face. Snowpaw was lost for words.

"No! Of course not. It's just what if one of us stumbles across the border or the RiverClan cats take offense in us being so close to their territory?" Snowpaw rambled. Ferretpool sighed.

"It's better to appear strong and not afraid. Nobody really cares if we offend them. It's their own fault if their precious little souls are offended. It's not our problem anyway. Grassstar told us to come here." Ferretpool explained. Snowpaw felt her heart drop. She knew there was no getting out of this. They made their way to the RiverClan border The section between the borders was very small, but there was a large area around it. Since it was close to the twoleg place there were the occasional mice that strayed. When Snowpaw looked over into RiverClan territory she didn't see anyone, but she knew that they could be among the undergrowth not too far away. she remembered when Pikestar was showing her WindClan territory from that border. Snowpaw remembered how she had scoffed and thought that WindClan cats were insane for living on this stretch of moorland, but after all this time in Windclan, she had grown to appreciate it.
