A Lie Guarded

It was the next day after Jaycee came back from her day trip with Bellamy and Jaha. She had woken up and told Nova that she should enjoy the outside, but she said she liked it in the room. It was quiet and no one could bother her.

Jaycee understood that so she never pushed her.

She was now outside, helping around as much as she could. She then heard laughter and just cheering. She walked towards it and saw Jasper looking out in the open. She then saw Jaha who was sleeping on a mattress, being floated away on the lake.

Jaycee couldn't help but laugh.

Jasper put an arm around his sister's shoulders and laughed, "He's awake!" Jaycee smiled. "Hey, Haha, it looks like you got floated!" Jasper shouted for the man on the lake could hear.

Everyone started shooting and they applauded Jasper.

Jaha looked up at the man, "Keeping yourself busy, Mr. Jordan," shouted back.

Jasper laughed, "Oh, I'm, living it up, every last day."

Jaycee laughed too as everyone was laughing.

Jaha looked up at him, "Do I want to know how you managed to do this without waking me up?" he asked the boy.

Jasper thought about it, "Oh, probably not, but the effects are harmless," He then took his arm off his sister as he started to walk slightly away, "I promise, kind of" He said, not being believable.

The sound of Clarke's voice got everyone's attention, "All right. We've had our fun. Let's get back to work," Jaycee chuckled one last time before leaving.

Jaycee was now by Harper, she started to look at the plans of the ship.

"These are nice, but what if we move this silver particle part to the left wing side of the ship, therefore we can have some of the mechanics build a stronger piece so that nothing can get through it," Jaycee said to Harper and her team.

"It's a good idea, but it would take some time, do you really think that we have time for that?" Harper asked the girl.

Jaycee chuckled and looked at the girl, "You're talking to one of the best mechanics there is," She looked at the rest of Harper's team, "No offense,"

They just looked at her and shrugged.

Harper started laughing, "I'm so ready for this ship to be done, the faster it is done, the faster we can be safe, and no one dies," Harper said.

Jaycee smiled, "I couldn't agree more,"

All of a sudden thunder is heard overhead and rain begins falling.

Harper looked up at the sky, "Black rain," She said to herself.

Jaycee was now afraid. She was just glad that Nova was inside.

Clarke's voice was heard again, "All right. Everyone inside, just like we practiced. Go!" She said everyone began to run inside the Ark.

Everyone did their protocol so everyone was inside, Jaycee was one of the last people inside, she then turned around to help Monty close the door but then something caught his eye.

Jaycee looked at what he was looking at and there she saw Jasper.

She immediately screamed, "Jasper! What the hell are you doing?!" She said with a terrified voice.

"Jasper! Come on!" Monty shouted out.

"Jasper, what are you doing?" Clarke screamed.

Jasper just looked at them, "You can't live your life in fear,"
