Sanji gave a last look in the mirror. He was wearing a black suit with a blue shirt. He didn't wear any tie to look more casual than what he used. Everyone was getting ready for the restaurant. Zoro had pretexted that he wanted to take Ace and Sabo to meet the Baratie. He heard the water of the shower stopped and a few minutes later, Zoro came out of it with only a towel to cover him. Sanji stared at the beautiful body of his man. His muscles were so perfectly sculpted. He bit his bottom lips; it wasn't the right time to let his envy take control. He needed to control himself.
Zoro turned to him once ready. He was wearing a green tee shirt and black pants. Simple but efficient. This afternoon, he took some of his cloths and took them to Sanji's. That afternoon, Sanji had offered to make room in one of his cupboards so that Zoro could leave his things in the bedroom. Zoro went straight to get his things without answering the blond with a smile on his face.
Zoro opened the door of the room, leading the way to the entry. On their way, they met Sabo, who looked at them with a funny look but didn't say anything. Ace was waiting for them, at the foot of the stars, arms crossed, foot tapping, and a frown on his face.
"You two!" He pointed to Zoro and Sanji. "What the hell was all that naughty noise this afternoon." Sanji looked at him with shocked eyes. "Don't tell me my little brother, listen to your dirties session." Ace said, annoyed. Sanji didn't dare meet Ace's eyes. His cheeks burst into flames. They had been so caught up at the moment that they had forgotten all about the outside presence in the house. Sanji looked at Zoro, who didn't seem to pay much attention. He didn't look shocked or annoyed at all. He just didn't care. If they wanted to be loud, so let them be.
"Zoro! I expected better of you." Ace stared at him, but the man only shrugged.
"Stop doing a big scene of nothing. Where were you when you heard us?" Zoro asked, putting his shoes on.
"In the corridor. I came looking for you and was stopped by all the dirty noise." Ace explained, and Zoro smiled at his explanation.
"So, if you didn't come to our last floor. You wouldn't hear us."
"No, but..." Ace scrabbed the back of his head, embarrassed. Zoro made a point, and he didn't know how to gainsay.
Sanji was still ashamed, even if not everyone heard them. Knowing that Ace did was sufficient to make him feel uncomfortable. He felt someone grab his hand and looked to see Zoro smiling at him. He was so beautiful with his messy hair. Zoro led him the way to the exit, and they went to his car. The others came a little later. The car wasn't big enough for everyone. But Sanji had brought out the minivan with two extra chairs in the back. Chopper was sitting on Nami's legs. They all headed towards the restaurant.
After several minutes on the road, they arrived in front of the restaurant. The journey was loud and fun. Sanji had finally gotten used to the noises. He used to be so calm with Jeff or Nami, and this was a big change for him. They entered the restaurant and saw only a few tables occupied. This was rather surprising for the Baratie, which was always full and had a very long waiting list.
"I'm going to check on the old man." Sanji said to Zoro while the others took place at the table. The table was at the centre of the room, a little the occupied tables were far enough away that they could make as much noise as they wanted and do as they pleased. Zoro nodded, and Sanji went to the kitchen.
He entered and didn't expect to meet only Patty and Carne with the only man. Where are the other cooks? What's going on?
"Oie Sanji! You don't know what Carne burned this time!" Patty laughed while the other cook gave him a threatening gaze.
"Where are the others? And why is the restaurant empty?" Sanji asked, not paying attention to what the others were saying.
"The old man gives his day off for everyone. I don't know what crossed his mind. But he had a phone call the other night. He came back, telling everyone not to come to work tonight. And to cancel all the reservations. We don't know more. You know how he is."
