A little less minsung action, but it's sweet anyways.
...
Jisung was walking down the street after he finished his shift at the flower shop he worked at. He was excited to be headed to his favorite café. Jisung had made it a tradition to go to the café every Thursday after he got off of work. He always got an iced latte with a slice of cheesecake or whatever special they had in store that day.
Jisung was there so much that all of the staff knew him and his order. He even had a spot that he would sit in everyday to do work for his side job of producing. It was his own little pocket of peace for the hours that he sat there, people watching, working, eating. Jisung smiled as he pulled open the door, breathing in the scent of coffee and desert. "Hey Jisung!"
"Hey Seungmin, I didn't know you had a shift today." Jisung placed his bag down and walked up to the counter to chat with one of the friends he had made at the café. "Yeah, I switched with Jeongin because he had a date."
"With who?!" Jisung's nosy mode turned to 100 percent as soon as the puppy-like boy mentioned the youngest worker. "I don't know. He won't tell anyone," Seungmin looked around at the people of the café, "But I think it's an older guy."
"How old?" Jisung furrowed his eyebrow, questioning Jeongin's taste in men. "Older than us. I don't know though. I mean he looks really happy nowadays, so maybe it's fine." Jisung shrugged, "I guess so," He looked around the café," Hey, who is that?"
Jisung nodded towards an older woman sitting alone in the corner of the café. She had a ceramic cup on the table in front of her, and was looking sadly at the singular cup. "I'm not sure, but she came in a few times a few months ago with a man," Seungmin looked over as the bell on the door jingled, signaling people had walked in "Here's your order. I have to get back to work. Bye Jisung."
"Have fun." Jisung took his cup to his table, still looking at the woman as he sat down. Time passed and eventually, the woman left, just as sad as she was when he came in.
The next Thursday, she was there, and the one after that. Jisung couldn't help but to look at her, wondering if he should talk to her, or just let her be on her own. He opened his computer and worked on a new idea even though he could pretty much hear the complaints of all his unfinished projects. "Jisung!" One of the staff members called out his name, signaling that his cake was ready. "Mi-Cha!"
The old woman began to stand up, but jisung motioned for her to sit back down. He quickly went up to the front, thanking the worker before walking back to the old woman's table. Jisung set the plate in front of her. "Thank you young man," and for the first time, Jisung saw her smile, which warmed his heart so much that he couldn't help but smile back.
"Would you mind if I sat with you?" Jisung asked. The woman shook her head, "Of course not. Please, join me." Jisung nodded and packed up his stuff from his original table, moving to sit in front of the woman. He bowed before sitting down, "I'm Han Jisung. Nice to meet you."
"Lee Mi-Cha. But please, call me Mi-Cha," she smiled as Jisung carefully made sure his computer was tucked away in his bag. He looked up and saw her looking at the device. "I have a side job, so I usually come here to work."
Mi-Cha smiled and poked her fork at her cake in front of her, "I used to come here with my husband, but he passed away a few weeks ago so I've been coming here to feel closer to us again."
"Does it help?" Jisung asked, remembering the look of sadness Mi-Cha had been wearing for the last few times he had seen her. "Not really, but it's enough. I miss him so much, and I'd do anything to be next to him again."
