but i'm here now with the final part of something new.

...

Minho's assistant, Seungmin, definitely noticed that something was off with the Crown Prince. Minho seemed more and more tired and more distracted as the days went by. "Your Highness, your father wants this done by the end of the day," Seungmin set a stack of papers in the corner of Minho's large wooden desk.

Minho groaned and threw himself to the floor. "Seungmin, my only confidante. How would you like to be king?" Minho pleaded. Seungmin rolled his eyes and pulled Minho up to his feet. "As much as I would like to have absolute power; no, I would not like to be king. And stop being so dramatic and just do your work. I'll be back shortly."

Minho nodded sadly, sitting back at his desk to look over the papers. More laws, more lessons that he had to figure out on his own. Woohoo.

Minho laid his head down on the table to think of something that would make him happy, even for a few seconds. He let his mind wander to his masked date until Seungmin came back and forced him to start working again.

Hours later, Minho finally finished his work. He had worked all through the night and now the sun was peeking through the curtains of his office. "Seungmin!" He whined, throwing the quill as far away from himself as he could. Seungmin arrived, "Yes, Your Highness?" Minho looked at the stacks of paper all around the room.

"Tell my mother and father that I will be in my room for the remainder of the day. And that I have finished my work and wish to be left alone." Seungmin nodded and bowed, "Anything else Your highness?"

Minho shook his head and stood up from his leather chair, "That will be all. You may also be dismissed for the day. I won't need anything else today." Seungmin looked up, confused, "But Your Highness, what will you do for the remainder of the day?"

"Sit in my room I suppose, you know that I can't sleep during the day." Seungmin looked at the Prince, thinking whether or not he should say what he was thinking. "Your Highness," he said, deciding to take the risk, "If you would like, I could take you into the town. I have errands to run from the head maids."

Minho felt his eyes get watery, "really? You would really do that for me?" Minho launched himself onto Seungmin, "I love you! You're getting a raise just for this!" Seungmin awkwardly patted Minho's back, "You can get off now."

"No!" Minho refused, clutching him tighter, so his assistant shoved him as hard as he could, "Get it together, or else you can sit in your room, until you sneak out to meet that mystery boy of yours."

"What? There's no mystery anyone." Minho said instantly, pulling away from Seungmin. "Please. You sleep talk about him. And you're happy in the mornings. You're never happy." Seungmin opened the door, "Now get ready or you're staying here."

Minho stood in the middle of the room for a solid 3 minutes, registering what Seungmin had said. "Damn." Minho shook his head, then headed to his room to get ready to sneak out of the palace with Seungmin.

...

Minho smiled as he quietly walked next to Seungmin down the streets of the village. It had been years since he had been in the village. Chan used to take him all the time before he left, they would go into the bakeries and stuff themselves full of sweets. Their nannies hated Chan and Minho's days in the village, seeing as the boys were barely able to eat their dinner because of all the pastries.

The memories made him smile, Minho looked around at all the places that still seemed that same, tainted with the memory of his brother. It was a lot different, but it still had that air around it, that familial air to it. Minho's butler looked at him with a faint smile, happy to see him in a good mood and out of the palace.
