Crows have caused blackouts in Japan before, due to the large population boosts, stealing tons of fiber cables used for power cables, and nesting on electrical power boxes. This happened between 2006 and 2008.

He, honestly hadn't been expecting to be swarmed by crows on that rooftop two months ago, nor had he, been expecting that strange girl to rescue him either. But she had, and he had been given a home that day. The kid had taken him to a massive blue boat, where this blue giant had explained to her how best to care for his current form, the duo cooing over how 'adorable' he was. Later that night, Wukong's successor had appeared in his new abode, Ao Lie's descendant barreling in behind him, who--as he found--was quite loud.

The duo both latched onto his new companion, like a pair of baby animals to their mother, or in this case, siblings. Within the first week, Cai--as he'd learned her name was--had to scold Wukong's brat for overworking himself, enlisting his help by allowing him to do whatever he needed to do to keep the teen in bed to rest. Naturally, he'd thoroughly enjoyed himself, as he scratched and bit the kid plenty of times to keep him from leaving. He also hadn't expected the dragon girl to help him out as well, both of them bonding over keeping the boy in bed.

He was also quite fond of his companion's meals, and was impressed by how through the bird was in ensuring he--the cat--wasn't fed anything toxic, which would be fine, if cats apparently couldn't eat plums. That was a major disappointment, but on the bright side she never forced him to eat peaches, either. Speaking of birds, apparently she was a bird, or something like it.

The first night there, she'd shown him her true form, that of a massive bird-like being, and once fast asleep, he'd looked up more information. Bird Beasts, was the name of her species, a mix between Avian and another species, that was under the Beast Person category, their kind having also being forced into hiding for many a year just like demons.

Wondering why she never showed the kids, he looked up more information, finding that not all countries were as friendly as others, so it made sense her hiding her true appearance. Honestly, it was kinda' sad, and if he were a bit more compassionate at the time, he might've even felt sorry...but that was just it, she was just his pawn.....his pawn.

Watching the group's day to day activities were generally boring, but there were some interesting points. Such as, how the dragon girl had inherited her ancestors sword, and, how his companion had ties to the dragons as well through her ancestors.

Information like that was valuable.

Though, as things progressed, he found himself less willing to put the group into the line of fire with Wukong, especially when he learned that his companion had as much disdain for the lazy chimp as he did. The boy had often complained about it when he was alone with him, stating that it wasn't fair that his two favorite people would never be able to be friends.

'Life isn't fair kid.'

Something he wanted to tell the teen, but had held his tongue at the moment, just allowing himself to sit there and listen.

Inside Spider Queen's lair, he'd been impressed by his companion's ability to wield the ancient weapon she'd been given, smirking at the blow she'd given the arachnid, looking at it with a sense of pride. Unfortunately, the foul demon had recognized him, thankfully not getting the chance to say who he was, but making his companion look at him curiously.

Today seemed to be another one of lazy days, having woken up to his companion's musical alarm, herself tapping the screen to shut it off with a groan and going back to bed, grunting unhappily when he placed a paw on her face. Cracking open an eye, she sent him a small smile, scratching him behind the ears, her claws getting just the right places.
