Warning: Cursing, Violence, Mentions of panic attacks
Did you know crows can understand/read traffic lights? The crows aren't usually run over because (unlike some people) they've figured out what traffic lights mean. Carrion crows wait until the light before flying down to place the un-cracked nut on the road. The second the light goes green, the crow takes off to watch the nut get run over from afar; it will even wait for the next red to scoop up the nut's meat.
"Aw, come on kid! Just one picture!~"
"No way!!" If there was one thing MK was currently very good at, it was making sure that Monkey King NEVER, saw a picture of his 'elder sibling', as the teenager knew, the king would go and try introducing himself to her.
Which would lead to him getting chased around by an enraged, Guandao welding artist, which is something he did not want happening.
Dodging yet another attempt at his phone, which was currently ringing by the person in question, MK quickly answered the phone, using his slightly taller height to keep Monkey King from reaching the phone, "H-hey Cai! What's up?"
"You sound out of breath, is Banana Republic working you too hard?"
Okay, he'd admit that one was funny, letting out a slight laugh the teen responded, "No, everything's good here, but you don't usually call when I'm training."
"Ah, Pigsy wanted me to tell you that you're about to be late for work, and if you don't get your ass here in the next ten minutes, then he's--and I quote--'Unleashing my third floor tennant on your stupid mentor', which, rude but not wrong."
"Shit! Really?! Tell Dadsy I'll be there in about fifteen to twenty-ish minutes, depending on how long it'll take the baby monkeys to let go of me," With a nervous laugh, he heard the female repeat his message to his adoptive father, who grunted out an 'okay', thanking Cai for calling and hanging up.
"Aw, come on kid, why couldn't I have said hi?" Pouting, Monkey King tried making another pass at the phone, only to end up face planting into the earth.
"Because!"
"Oh, so I'm only allowed to talk to your 'oh-so important elder sibling' that you constantly gush about, through a small black bird once, then that's it, huh?" Grumbling as he got up, the simian king placed his hands on his hips with a huff.
"What, huh?? When did Cai send you a Carrier Crow?"
"Oh, she asked if you were with me this one time, and I said no," Shrugging like it wasn't a big deal--which, to MK, it was a huge deal--Monkey King walked off to grab a peach from his tree, biting into the ripe fruit. "Haven't talked since."
"Good!" Was the automatic response the--now offended and slightly confused--king got as he watched his student pack up to leave. "And if you try following me, I'll set Sirius and the crows on you!"
Despite MK's fear to the ebony cat, he knew that the feline was quite dependable when it came to disliking his mentor just like Cai, which meant if he set the cat on the ginger simian, that the golden eyed tomcat wouldn't disappoint. That, and the crows had--over time--also developed an aversion to his teacher as well. In all honesty, any animal that his 'elder sister' was around for long enough soon came to hate his trainer. It was slightly concerning, but useful in keeping the immortal from meeting his trigger happy sibling, who had the habit of 'kill on sight' for the simian and the simian alone.
"Yeah, yeah, just go kiddo'," Unhappily waving his student off, Monkey King watched with the other monkeys as the teen disappeared into the distance, his friends all comforting him since he couldn't meet the 'ever elusive' older sibling. "Honestly, what's so bad about us meeting? If they're the kid's older sibling, they can't be that bad, right?"
