Warning: Cursing, Violence
The word "dragon" comes from the Greek word "drakon," which means "a huge serpent."
"Aaannndd, there! The umbrella is all set!~" Laying back on the beach chair with a content sigh, Cai smiled as the shade made sure to keep herself, Rumble, Savage and Spider Queen from cooking alive in the heat of the desert, as the sound of 'Premier Inn' by Good Kid echoed atop the airship deck, whilst Pigsy cooked, and Sandy began weight training with Tang. "How're you liking the new clothes Nep?"
"Please stop calling me by that horrid nickname," Came the groan of Spider Queen, who was now regretting telling the group her actual name, which was Nephila. "As for the clothes, they're...fine."
Said outfit was a drop-shoulder crop top that was colored dark purple, a neon green spider web design decorating it, with light grey shorts for bottoms, plus white flip flops. The demon's hair was pulled up in a bun, decorated by a spider hairpiece.
"Thought you'd like 'em," Smiling, the corvid worked away on xier sketchbook, with SQ glancing at every now and again, but not saying anything until she noted the artist was sending her an amused grin. "Want to see?"
Embarrassed that she'd been caught, but resigning herself to the fact that situations like this would be happening in group more often than not, the elder of the pair held out a hand, grumbling briefly as she looked over the sketch, though confused as to who the people in the pictures were.
"That's my parents with my younger brothers, the tallest is Nate, then's Max, Sebastian and Everett," Pointing out each in turn, pride shone in the feathered menace's voice, showing how fond they were of xier family. "Everett just started flying lessons, his wings just finishing growing big enough for dad to teach him."
"Your parents are the opposite species?" Noting how one appeared draconic, and the other avian, Nephila pointed it out.
"Yeah, dad's actually the first in the family to marry someone of a different species, not that the family really cares about that kinda' stuff," Shrugging the younger watched as Spider Queen flipped back through the book, not minding seeing as he was proud of his work.
"Who are they?"
"That's my great-great-grandparents, the male dragon right there is called Reinhard Est, and that's his wife--my grandmother--Mèng yáo Est," The two continued going through the sketchbook, with the artist explaining who each person was in turn, and their relation to the hybrid.
"You seem very fond of your family."
"I am, and I hope I can be there for them when they need me as well," Taking a sip of xier boba, Cai didn't bat an eye at the sound of explosions, nor the sight of columns of sand blasting up in the air, followed by Mei's maniacal laughter and MK's screams. "Sounds like they're having fun."
"Your definition of fun is skewed," Spider Queen deadpanned, as she glanced up at the sounds of fighting every now and again, wondering if the duo would kill each other in their mad training escapade, the sudden sight of a massive Monkey Boy flattening a spectral green dragon disturbing the demon lady slightly.
"Cai, go get the kids, lunch is ready!" The sound of Pigsy's call got the bird's attention, who stood up from where she sat, stretching in xier tank top, which read 'Powered by Caffeine and Sarcasm', a small crow with a coffee sup showing underneath the print, with black shorts to match.
"Aight, you da' boss!~" Launching off the side of the ship, he flew towards where the pair were currently on their backs in the sand, panting heavily from the strain of training, landing down and walking over to stand over the duo. "Hey, things one and two, lunch is ready."
