Warning: Cursing, Violence
From holding up objects of interest (typically a male mating ritual to lure a female) to "pointing" at things with their beaks, ravens have been elevated to a level of communication that, until recently, was observed solely in humans and apes.
When a bird has better communication than MK and Wukong 😬
Rumble chirped along happily to the sounds of 'Hey Anna' by Owl City, before taking a bite of a pineapple slice they'd been given, watching from the highest shelf as Cai helped Pigsy clean the shop, enjoying the feeling of a complete body instead of staying as a shadow.
For those of you that are probably confused, it was only three days into the clone's stay, when it had one day gave our poor corvid a wonderful--not--wake up call in the form of a body slam, in his new form, that of a small red and black monkey, about the same size of Wukong's own monkeys. Apparently, Macaque's clones could do that...or something, Cai honestly had no idea how on earth that came to be, they were still waking up as Rumble happily showed off their newfound corporeal form, before rushing off raid the fridge for snacks.
Was this how being a parent felt like?!
When asked later by a much confused group of Pigsy, Tang, Mei and MK, all they got as a response, was a tired and blunt, "I found them in the trash."
This was accepted with much confusion, with Pigsy insisting that the 'chimp' not get into any trouble, as he'd already 'had it up to here with magic monkeys.' Which, that was fair, Wukong, MK and Macaque were all handfuls, all in their own special ways.
So now, Rumble simply enjoyed watching as the pigman yelled at his husband, who had been getting in the way of cleaning all morning, as MK was nowhere to be found, and his friend--Cai--cleaned the floor with a mop.
Of course, yelling at the scholar turned to yelling up the stairs for our heroic teen, who came rushing down the stairs, yelping as his father scolded him for taking too long, afterwards getting corralled into the back kitchen to clean.
Curious as to why the sudden cleaning fest, the simian hopped down and onto the corvid's shoulder, using the signs he'd been taught to ask, "Oh, well, the Health Inspector is coming today, so Mr. Pigsy is pretty stressed, seeing as a bad enough review could completely shut this place down, and it's his livelihood."
"That reminds me, you need to make sure that monkey friend of yours is up and out of sight the whole time the inspector is here," Motioning towards the pair, the chef appeared quite stressed, which was added onto his already high-strung personality. "So get you two!"
Nodding, Cai put away the mop and walked upstairs with Rumble chittering on xier shoulder, entering the third floor apartment, and turning on their computer to get started with any commissions they may have missed, the small monkey curling up in his lap to get a nap in.
Halfway through a castle landscape, she received a call, smiling softly at the sight of who was on the other end and answering, placing the phone on speaker, "Heya' Grumpy, how's Germany?"
"The landeth is quite quaint and green, thy grandmoth'r is content, and watching one's t'rrit'ry is calming. How fares thy w'rk in the fusty lands of china?" Came the deep, rumbling voice on the other end, of an old Germanic dragon monarch, his voice startling Rumble awake, as it echoed through the phone.
"My art is going well, I actually got to help a monastery fix up one of their Buddha murals, I honestly think you'd like it here Grumpy," Soothing the startled simian, the corvid set xier phone up so that she could continue working, whilst still talking to his Great-Great-Grandfather.
