My legs ached as we ran through the dim corridors of the decrepit "hospital." Izana was at my side, his white hair a stark contrast against his now pale face."Get up, we're never getting out of this prison if you can't even run," he urged, his voice strained with determination. Kazutora, nodded in agreement.
Izana grabbed my hand and helped me up, his touch reassuring amidst the chaos. "Let's go," he said, his voice steady as we continued our escape attempt. Kazutora kept pace to my left while Izana was on my right.
"Hey, Izana!" I gasped as we ran, catching his attention. "Yeah?" he responded, his purple eyes meeting mine. "Can we talk later? Back in the cell?" I asked, hoping for a moment of peace in this madness.
After we returned to our shared cell, I mustered the courage to bring up a delicate topic.
Sitting down on the hash cold floor, Izana turned to you with a curious expression. "What's up?" he asked, his eyes scanning your face for any signs of distress. You took a deep breath before answering, "Karin's your mom, right?" A grim expression formed on Izana's face as he nodded slowly. "Yeah, kind of" he replied cautiously.
Feeling the tension in the air, you took a deep breath before continuing, "Kazutora accidentally killed someone called Shinichiro" Izana's eyes met yours, recognizing the name immediately. A pang of guilt washed over you for bringing up such a painful topic. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything" you apologized, hoping to ease the mood.
But Izana's eyes lit up in recognition, a small smile forming on his lips. "It's okay, KNOW Kazutora" he said, his voice softening at you but harshly at kazutora, You let out a sigh of stress.
"It was a complete accident, trust me. He didn't mean to. He's been punished enough" you reassured, trying to defend your friend. But as soon as the words left your mouth, Izana jumped up from the floor, ignoring you, his voice booming, "YOU KILLED MY BROTHER?"
Kazutora looked at the ground ashamed.
You froze, taken aback by his sudden outburst. You quickly tried to calm him down, "It was an accident, Izzy. He was trying to help his friend" But Izana's anger didn't seem to subside.
"He didn't mean it, Izzy. He's been punished enough. He watched his own mother die and got blamed for it" you revealed, hoping to make him see the bigger picture. And finally, Izana realized what you were trying to say. He sat back down on the cold floor, his face pale with shock.
"It was an accident?" he asked, looking at Kazutora with a mix of confusion and disbelief. Kazutora lowered his head, his face contorting in fear. "I'm so sorry" he muttered, his voice barely audible.
"Shinichiro had a sister, Emma. You know them, right?" you asked, trying to change the subject. Izana nodded, and you continued, "you and kazutora are connected" Izana's expression softened, and he nodded, understanding the magnitude of the situation.
As you all sat in silence, the realization of what had happened sinking in, you couldn't help but feel a wave of sympathy towards Kazutora. He never meant for any of this to happen. It was just a series of unfortunate events. And as you looked at him, you couldn't help but think that he had been through enough.
"So Izzy" you spoke as he looked at you, "tell me how it's connected"
