Sophie's Little Sister (kotlc)

Episode 4 - Telepathy, Transporting, Polyglot, Inflicting, Pyrokinetic, Mesmer

Opal grunted. A day of lessons was not her thing. Unfortunately, she still had telepathy lessons on the Level five floor. She trudged upstairs and entered an empty room where Sir Teirgan, her telepathy Mentor was already waiting.

"Good afternoon, sir," Opal greeted.

"I'm not part of the Nobility, Opal. Just call me Teirgan."

Opal nodded. Just then, Fitz and Sophie entered the room. They spotted her.

"Hi, Opal!" Fitz waved.

"Hi, Fitz," Opal replied.

Sophie introduced herself, "I'm Sophie Foster." Then transmitted, "Your sister."

Opal nodded, and transmitted back, "I know, Alden told me."

Sophie gasped. "How...how did you do that?"

Opal shrugged, "I don't know. I've been able to send messages inside brains for a long time."

"But...but...my mind is impenetrable!"

"It was a little harder to send. But I managed it."

Teirgan rubbed his chin. "Sophie, did Opal transmit into your mind?"

Sophie nodded.

"Well, this is interesting. I'll have to report this to Alden."

"Do you think it's a leak again?" Sophie asked.

"No, I think not. It is probably because of your connection. Alden said that she went for a bit of ability detecting, and they found out she had multiple abilities, like you."

"Which are...?"

"Telepathy, Transporting, Polyglot, Inflicting, and she's a Mesmer."

"No way," Fitz gasped, "All that? Plus, she's a Mesmer?"

Teirgan nodded, "They also think she's a Pyrokinetic, based on her body temperature, but they think it is better not to trigger that ability."

"That is so cool!" Fitz turned to Opal. Sophie nodded her head in agreement.

"Well," Teirgan said, "Despite all these powers, my job is to train you guys on telepathy. So, sit tight, because I'll be saying the telepathy ethics lecture."

Sophie and Fitz groaned.
