Episode 12 - A Bully is always a Coward

Opal knocked on the door. Edaline opened the door and welcomed her inside. Alden looked perfectly fine, and Elwin was already packing up to leave. Opal stood next to Alden, fidgeting with her fingers.

"I'm...I'm sorry. Are you okay?" Opal muttered.

Alden smiled. "There's no reason to worry. Elwin said it was just a sprain. I'm all better after drinking the elixir."

Opal sighed in relief. "Thank goodness. I was really worried. I'll make sure it'll never happen again."

"It's fine. It was my fault."

Opal hugged Alden.

Opal entered Foxfire, where Sophie was waiting for her.

"Hi Sophie." Opal waved.

Sophie turned around and smiled. "Hi Opal! I heard what happened. You okay?"

Opal nodded. But she knew that wasn't true. She was still a monster. She had been doing this for the past nine years; hiding her feelings. 

Sophie fidgeted with her fingers. Opal looked at her worriedly. "What about you? Are you okay?" 

Sophie glanced around before whispering in Opal's ears. "The Council wants me to do something for Silveny's Opening Ceremony, but I don't know what to do. I already teleported on her at the festival."

Opal wracked her brain for a moment, before replying, "Maybe you could fly Silveny around the Sanctuary, then let her land on the podium."

Sophie beamed. "That's an awesome idea! Councilor Kenric said you're helping Silveny do stunts."

"'Helping' is the wrong word. They want me to mesmerize her."

Sophie gasped. "But that's... wrong!"

Opal nodded. "I tried to refuse, but apparently it was an order. "

"Is that why the accident happened?"

Opal sighed and nodded.

"I'm sorry, Opal." Sophie pulled Opal in for a hug.

Just then, a girl sneered at them. "Oh my! Don't tell me the weird, new kid is dating the girl who was taken! Actually, that'll be perfect. No innocent elves will be match with you two."

Everyone in the hall were staring at them.

Sophie clenched her fist. "Shut up, Stina."

Opal sighed. "Let me handle it."

Opal focused on Stina as she laughed, "You heard that? The new kid's protecting her girlfriend-"

Suddenly, Stina yelped in pain as she punched herself. Blood was flowing from her nose as she fell onto the floor face-first. Opal smirked. 

"Ah!" Stina screamed. Her fist was hitting the floor, making it bleed. 

Finally, Opal stopped mesmerizing Stina and bent down to Stina's level. She whispered in Stina's ear, "I don't tolerate bullies." Then, Opal stood up and dragged Sophie to the lockers.
