Episode 5 - Dame Alina's Office

Opal stumbled out of Teirgan's class. That was one of the most boring lectures she had ever listened to. Prodigies all headed toward the giant Leapmaster, ready to head home. Suddenly, panic surged in Opal. She didn't know where she was staying. Opal slapped her forehead. Why hadn't she asked Alden?

"Hey Opal, where you are going?"

Opal turned around and saw Keefe. Opal sighed and replied, "Honestly, I have no idea."

"Don't worry. Dad said that you're staying at our place," Fitz, who had appeared next to Keefe, said.

"Oh, that solves my problem then," Opal sighed, relieved.

Someone tapped Opal on the shoulders. Opal turned around and saw Dame Alina.

"May I speak to you in my office, please?" she asked smilingly.

"Er...sure?" Dame Alina led Opal to her office, leaving Fitz and Keefe behind.

Dame Alina brought Opal to her office and closed the door behind her. She told Opal to sit, and Opal obeyed.

"Now, it has come to my understanding that you have broken school property," Dame Alina started, "However, since it is your first day, I will not fault you."

"I'm terribly sorry, miss."

"It's fine. I am certain you know how to open your locker now, am I right?"

Opal nodded, flushing red.

"Great. The Council also informed me about your abilities, and you will need to take a few extra classes for them. Your updated timetable can be found in your locker."

"If I may ask, miss, what classes am I taking?"

"You will have Polyglot lessons with Lady Cadence, Mesmering lessons with Lady Cherish and Inflicting lessons with Councilor Bronte."

"Wait, why am being taught by a Councilor?" Opal questioned.

"There aren't many inflictors nowadays, and Councilor Bronte is the only qualified one."

"Okay, well, if that is all, may I go? I really want to head off."

Dame Alina smiled and nodded. Opal walked out of the office, ran onto the Leapmaster, and shouted, "Everglen!"
