Sophie, Biana, Opal, Fitz, Dex and Keefe were in Opal's room. The Ruewens had decided to visit again and so did Keefe, Dex, and Dex's parents - Juline and Kesler. The adults were in the kitchen, most likely having a 'classified' conversation.
"Opal taught me how to roast people! Keefe, try to insult me!" Biana exclaimed.
"No problem. You're already 13 and still playing dress-up. Aren't you a little old?" Keefe replied.
Biana hesitated for a moment, before Opal gave her a thumbs up and Biana started.
"At least I'm not over-arrogant about my hair, which reminds me, Keefe. Your hair is like a sasquatch's den. There are probably bits of dirt in there, and don't get me started on the shampoo you use. That time Fitz used it, he smelled do bad, I had to avoid him for a month. Plus, you suck at base quest unless Fitz or Sophie helps you. And 15-year-olds don't start Fanclubs just because they think they're 'mysterious'. I bet-"
Keefe interrupted her. "Okay chill girl. I am seriously wounded. First, I wash my hair every hour. What do you think I do every time I ditch class? Second, I do not suck at base quest. You're just jealous. Last, Foster's a special case."
"Yeah, sure," Opal said sarcastically.
"And you!" Keefe turned toward Opal, "You taught her too much. I've got to admit though, I need some lessons too."
"I want in too!" Fitz shouted.
"Count me in," Dex added.
"Same," Sophie said.
"Fine. We can meet every day after dinner here." Opal smiled.
"Nice!" Keefe pumped his fists in the air.
"Don't get too excited. My lessons are boring."
"Not true," Biana said, "They're awesome. Stop looking down on yourself, Opal. Mum told me all about it." She whispered, "How could you think you're a monster?"
Opal only managed a half-smile.
