"Tsk, tsk. Can't we kidnap someone without any trouble?" one of the cloaked men grumbled. The one beside him nudged him hard, causing him to flinch.

"Shut up," the man beside him growled. Then he turned to the girls and smirked. "Come with us on your own, or we'll have to force you."

Anger spread throughout Opal, while Sophie just looked scared.

"Leave it to me," Opal transmitted.

Immediately, Opal ran forward and tackled the guy who had threatened them. He shouted in pain. Opal forgot about her powers and punched the man over and over again. However, the man soon gained composure and fought back. He held up one of his hands and summoned a fire.

"Get away from him!" Sophie transmitted, "That's Everblaze!"

Opal leaped away from the man just as he flung the Everblaze in her direction. Instinctively, Opal held up her hand to block herself, but the Everblaze landed in her hand. To her utter astonishment, it didn't feel hot, just a cooling sensation. She played around with it before blowing it out. Everyone stared at her, flabbergasted.

The pyrokinetic recovered first. He immediately hailed an entire wall of Everblaze, but instead of throwing it at Opal, he threw it at Sophie. Opal threw out her hands and a warm sensation flowed down her hands. A light green flame emerged from her hands and directed itself to block Sophie, acting like a current of water and causing the Everblaze to extinguish.

"H-how?" the pyrokinetic gasped, "That's impossible."

Another cloaked figure who was observing the situation whispered urgently to the pyrokinetic. He grumbled before taking out a crystal and leaping away. His teammates did the same, leaving Sophie and Opal alone in the cafe filled with the sleeping elves.

Opal stumbled and collapsed onto the floor.

"Opal! Are you okay?" Sophie asked urgently.

But Opal couldn't think straight. The whole world was spinning. She shook her head. With all her strength, Sophie lifted Opal up and brought her outside, where a crowd was gathering. They had all seen the cafe become suspiciously quiet and decided to check it out. As Sophie stumbled out with Opal, the crowd gasped. Free from the sleeping gas, the girls removed the wet tissues and took in big breaths of air. Soon, the Vackers came running.

"What happened?" Alden screamed.

"I'll explain later! Opal needs help. I think she over-exerted herself," Sophie said urgently. Della took Opal from Sophie's hands and leaped back to Everglen.

Opal blacked out.
