It had been four weeks already and neither of them had heard anything from Harry and Ron or Hermione. The young woman herself wasn't even sure if she had really seen herself standing before her or someone else using polyjuice potion.

The latter was by far more probable. Especially because said person had taken her hair and quite a few of them.

She had just gotten up and was about to go to Bellatrix' room to pick up the baby and take care of her, while the older witch would attend to other things, when she heard the little girl's cries and the door to Draco's bedroom opened, revealing Bella and her daughter.

"Mudblood, I need your help. Now!" She ordered and being used to her tone by now, Hermione instantly obeyed.

"Of course, what can I do for you? Hey little princess, how are you doing? What made you cry like that?"

The dark haired woman raised her eyebrows, about to reprimand the girl for accusing her of making her daughter cry, when her nephew appeared and asked her inside.

"Good morning, Bella, how are you doing today? Come in, we haven't spent any time together lately. I missed you."

A reluctant smile showed on her lips and she stepped into the room, looking the young couple up and down, then grinned evilly.

"Well, well, well, Draco, does your mum know already?"

"Know about what? Me and Hermione? Of course she does. She doesn't exactly like it but she lets me make decisions of my own." He responded honestly.

"That's not what I meant. You both have no idea, right? Ha, I like that. Will come as quite a surprise to everyone then. Oh come on, smile a little with me, Draco! You're about to become a daddy!"

"Wh-what?" Hermione exclaimed and looked at Bellatrix with wide eyes.

The witch cackled.

"You really didn't know! Damn it girl, can't you see the signs? Your tits have become huge, you're pale as hell and you just stepped back the moment you smelled Delphi's special aroma. Relax, I won't make you change her and puke on my child. But maybe you should let Cissy do her spell and check if I am right!"

The blond young man had stepped closer to the girl and laid an arm around her waist.

"Don't let her play you, Hermione. I am sure we would have noticed..."

She pushed him off and ran into the bathroom before he could finish. A moment later they heard her vomiting.

"I told you!" Bella exclaimed and placed her baby in the boy's arms. "Hold her for me while I go and get your mother!"

When the witches returned he had the little girl lying on his bed and had cleaned her, while Hermione just entered the room again and wiped her face after rinsing her mouth.

Narcissa gave her a look she couldn't categorise.

"Lay down and don't move." The blond woman ordered and without hesitation the younger one did, being very careful to not hurt the baby on the other half of the mattress.

Doing the very same spell she had done almost a year ago for her sister,

They didn't even have to wait long, as the smoke immediately turned bright white.

"Told you!" Bella exclaimed.

The young woman's eyes were filled with tears and her face showed her instant panic. But Narcissa Malfoy, despite her prejudices, took her hand and squeezed it gently, whispering softly.

"Don't be afraid, no harm will come to you as long as I am here. No matter 'your' blood status, it's my grandchild and I'll make sure you'll both be well protected, even if I had to give my life to do so."

Draco had heard her and was just as overwhelmed as Hermione as he looked at his mother.

"Thank you, mum. That means a lot. Can we please have some alone time? Delphi can of course stay here, but I think we need to talk!"

His mother nodded and gestured to her sister to follow her while she was about to pick up the baby. But Bellatrix stopped her.

"I am not a monster, Cissy. I give a shit about the mudblood, but Delphini adores her and so does your son. It seems as if both our children have a weak spot for lower creatures. Come my sweet little baby, we'll leave your cousin and his 'woman' to discuss the new matter."

Narcissa wanted to say something but just shrugged and shook her head as she followed the dark witch out into the hallway.

"Wow!" Draco said as he sat down next to the young witch who was still lying on her back, both her hands now on her lower belly, tears running down her cheeks. "Hey, I promise to you that everything will be okay. Please don't cry, yeah?"

But his tender words only made her sob and turn around to bury her face into his side. He reacted quickly and scooted further down, placing himself in front of her, his arms tightly around her and letting her cry. After some time had passed, he carefully spoke her name.

"Hermione? Can you look at me? Come on, we've talked about the possibility already. Why are you so sad now? Is it because you wished it was someone else's child?"

His last question made her eventually look up in utter shock.

"What? No! It's just... I am so overwhelmed. What if... what if I never get to see my parents again to tell them? What if I'll never be able to tell my best friends? What if anything happens to you and I'll be left alone, the mudblood everybody can do with what they want?" She sobbed desperately.

"What? No, Hermione! You heard my mum, that won't be happening no matter what will happen to me!"

"But you were supposed to go back to Hogwarts last week already, and if you eventually go, I'll be left behind, all alone and without you and..."

She took a deep breath as she clanged onto his shirt.

"It's just for another two months, love. Then the school year is already over. I've missed a lot this last year too. If you wanted we could go back together to get our NEWTs. How's that? I promised you, I'd take care of our children as long as you are still working on your career. I love you, Hermione Granger. And I also love this little person who is growing inside of you."
