Pieces

I'm made of many pieces

Or at least I once was

I guess you could say

I am a glas

I'm a mirror

In which people see their reflection

And turn away

As their protection

I'm a glass of water

From which people take as much as they need

And then turn away

In case they'll bleed

I'm in pieces

I can't be fixed

People just mind the piece they need

My feelings about that are mixed

No one tries to fix me

They could get a cut

And they'll say it hurts

When in fact it does not

I'd never cut on purpose

I'd never cut deep

I just want something

I want someone I can keep

I'm in pieces

I'll always be broken

Because all my name will ever be

Is unspoken.

Fun fact: I wrote this on the bathroom floor after showering
