Okay, sorry to everyone who expected a poem here. It isn't one. These were all the poems which I had written in the first ever notebook I've finished. I want to use this opportunity to thank a few people and mention the ones who have inspired me to not give up and encouraged me to keep writing. I won't mention everyone by their name, but you'll find them in some form. So, thank you to:
You. The person reading this right now. If no one would've read my silly little poems on this platform, I would not have kept posting them (special thank you to Sarah16469, for always commenting and making me feel so loved even without knowing me).
My friends who read my poems even before I was sure they were good enough.
My math teacher, the first adult who read my poems and encouraged me to keep on writing them.
My first three muses (none of them ever read a single poem I wrote)
For the inspirations in writing and in life, I want to thank:
Taylor Swift, for teaching me how to write about heartbreak and love
Ryan O'Neal, for teaching me how to write metaphorical
Phoebe Bridgers and Lorde, for teaching me how to write about growing up
Louisa May Alcott, for giving us Little Women and my comfort character, Jo March
Roman Sadovsky, for reminding me my luck could be so much worse
The inventer of lemon tea, for making lemon tea (If you couldn't already tell, I really love lemon tea)
Aleksandr Selevko, for making me believe that I can step out of my family's shadow
Deniss Vasiljevs, for having such inspiring skates and interviews
And last, but definitely not least: Myself, for not giving up. Now I'm 16 and I know that the world didn't end when I was 13 and all alone, because I have not given up.
