~*Lan Xichen's POV*~

I thought that that time when Xingyue was pregnant she was a handful and she was only a month pregnant before the loss of the baby, but she was still a bit hard to handle. As for Fengmi, she is just as stubborn. She is more assertive and aggressive as to what she wants. She wants meat, she will have her meat. She wants belly rubs, she will get them. She wants to sleep, I let her sleep.

Baoshan has been enjoying in watching me put up with her. Fengmi was only a couple weeks along so hopefully she settles down a bit soon, but a pregnant wolf is a bit different than a pregnant human. Even though Baoshan gets a good laugh out of some of my misery, she does have some good advice when it's needed. Xingyue is similar, so Fengmi is just wanting a good space for when our pup or pups arrive. The sass could be toned down a bit though.

I was currently sitting with Fengmi on the bed. Fengmi was stretched out over my lap and she did it so I couldn't go anywhere. I do have to admit, her possessive behavior towards me was always so cute and if she didn't want anyone near me she would let others know. It was a bit different than what Xingyue would do, as she would want to keep me to herself, she knows that the pack needs its leader.

Thankfully, Wangji and Wuxian have been a big help and handling more of the pack matters while I have been dealing with Fengmi. As they were busy, they left their kids here and they spent time around me or Baoshan. Fengmi was actually really sweet to them too. She does as a pack Luna and aunt does and loves them dearly.

"What am I going to do with you, huh Fengmi?" I asked, "so stubborn sometimes." Fengmi let out a soft growl in protest. I could only laugh. She was something else. I was petting her when she nipped at my hand playfully, "Hey, what was that for?"

Fengmi sat up so she was face to face with me, "I am not stubborn, you are," she said to me, "call me stubborn again and you will be in the dog house."

All I could do was laugh and place a kiss on her head between her eyes, "You are amazing, such of tough girl. Why are you so aggressive towards me? Huh? I am your mate," I asked her.

"Because I love you and I can be myself around you," Fengmi told me. She was a bit more wild for a wolf, but that was okay. Her personality was similar but not quite the same to her human counterpart.

"Did you need anything?" I asked.

She laid back down between my legs and rolled to her back showing her belly to me. I knew immediately what she wanted. I leaned forward and began to pet her belly. After a little while, I let Shuoyue come out and the two laid down together. Shuoyue started to pamper her by licking her face. It was soothing to her and it was also a way to show that Shuoyue has a claim over her. It really put a lot of his scent all over her and it would keep her safe. She placed her head on Shuoyue's front legs and allowed him to continue to clean her.

~*3rd POV/Author POV*~

Baoshan watched the two from a distance and saw how easy it was for Xichen's wolf to calm Fengmi down. She was happy that her daughter was really starting to let people in. She remembered when Xingyue was still so turned off by alphas and she wanted nothing to do with the Lan Pack. She has come a long way since then. It's been almost two years since that time so a lot can change within that time but Baoshan was still happy for Xingyue for letting Xichen in. She decided to leave the two alone for a while and went to go visit Wangji and Wuxian and their three pups. They were almost four now and it was so nice to see that Wuxian has his life together.

When she arrived to the Jingshi, she was immediately greeted by Renyu, "Hello beautiful girl," Baoshan said and picked her up, "How are you doing?"

"Good," She answered with a giggle.

"Hello, Wai Po," Wuxian greeted her with a hug.

"Hey kiddo, how are you doing?"

"I am doing good, the kids were just getting ready to be let outside to get some energy out. They just had lunch so they are pretty energized right now," Wuxian said, "Want to join us?"

"Sure," She said and set Renyu down and watched her go play with her brothers, "It is good to see Renyu get along with her brothers so well. Being the only female in the house must be difficult."

Wuxian giggled as he sat at the table with Wangji and Baoshan, "she does really well, she definitely doesn't let them push her around. She has a backbone," Wuxian said.

"Sounds like Chenqing," Baoshan said.

"I guess so," Wuxian said, "Did you just come here from Xichen-ge's?"

"I did," Baoshan replied, "Xichen is doing well with Fengmi...though it has been quite entertaining to watch."

"For an omega she really doesn't show she is. I admire her as she doesn't let others walk all over her," Wuxian said, "she is actually the opposite of Xichen but I think that is why they work so well...it is how Lan Zhan and I work. His wolf is also much more playful and shameless compared to Chenqing."

"That is because Chenqing grew up having to fight to protect himself, not really spent all that much time socializing," Baoshan said, "It isn't a bad thing either."

"No, I guess not," Wuxian said, "Why did it take so long for you to tell me that I was born as a wolf pup and not as a human?"

"It didn't really seem to matter how you were born but I am sorry that you did not know," Baoshan said, "You are still an amazing person."

"Thank you Wai Po," Wuxian said, "So how is Fengmi? How has it all been entertaining?"

"Oh just that if Fengmi wants something she wants it immediately. She is so aggressive and assertive, Xichen has been tested a lot so far. He is doing well," Baoshan said with a giggle, "Shuoyue came out before I left to help comfort her a bit more."

Wangji smiled and took a sip of his tea, "He laughed at me when I was dealing with Wei Ying's mood swings during his pregnancy. Though I still thought Wei Ying was cute."

Wuxian looked at Wangji, "Are you talking about that time where I had to shift to Chenqing when the Wen's invaded our territory? I was so upset about that. I was forced to fight and I risked our children for that...stupid Wens."

"It's okay, it's over and Horacio did well with helping you after," Wangji said, "I may have experienced your mood swings for the first time but I still got a lot of cuddles out of it."

Baoshan smiled, "I am glad that you two work out so well."

"Lan Zhan and I became mates to help me. I had just come here with the Jiangs for a guest lecture here and I was, at the time, still hiding the fact that I am an Alpha and omega hybrid. Lan Zhan was the first to know about it as I was still struggling after the death of my parents. It was only a year before that I moved into the Jiang territory. Lan Zhan and his brother accepted me and helped me get comfortable with who I was. He also just so happened to be my true mate so being mated to him helped hide my hybrid identity more. Now everyone knows and I am not so worried about hiding anymore because I have been fully accepted here," Wuxian explained.

"I am glad that you made it work," Baoshan said, "When I found out your parents died I did what I could to find you. When Xichen found me in my territory I nearly wanted to take him out for trespassing but he said you were safe. So he let me see you."

"I expected you to threaten him," Wuxian said with a smug grin, "You do not like when alphas stray to close to your territory as it is full of omegas."

"I take my role as Leading Omega very seriously. I do not let others overestimate me. I think Fengmi learned that from me," Baoshan said.

"It's good," Wuxian said, "I am glad that you are here."

"I know," Baoshan said, "Me too."
