Chapter 29

Sam's (Vendetta's) pov:

I was on my way to the radio demons location , the Hazbin hotel and I was in luck as Charlie ran the place and her dad owning it .

It was way too easy to find him, he left so many traces in his shadows that I spawned infront of the hotel almost hitting my head against the door .
"Yikes that was close " I whispered a little embarrassed.

I sighed and knocked on the door , from the outside I could hear Charlie yell out "oh a visitor ! I'll get it !"The door slowly opened and  Charlie squeal med in excitement "Aunt V! , I can't believe it !"

"Oh dear what have you grown! Are you running this place all by yourself?" I asked Charlie happily.
"Well yes sort of but I have help ! Vaggie my girlfriend helps me a lot and... husker is doing the bar ... nifty does all the cleaning work and .., " before Charlie could finish , i interupted her sentence "and the radio demon ? What does he do around here ?"

"Ah yes he does a lot around here to be honest ,.. if something break he fixes it and he actually made husker and nifty work here .." Charlie replied. "How lovely my dear,.. taking about the radio demon ... I'm here for him "

Suddenly the radio demon popped up next to Charlie "ah I heard you call for me hmmm?" He said with a tint of humor in his voice .

I'd must admit he was absolutely a lot of fun and to be honest he looked good ... I stopped my own track of thought right there .. no no no no this can't be happening ... I'm a fiancé for hells sake !
I sighed before continuing

"Ah there you are " I replied .
"Charlie ,.. I promise to bring him back as soon as I can, can't steal him off his duties too long can I " I chuckled and hugged Charlie .
"That's okay Aunt V, I will see him pop up again after you two are done" Charlie waved us out as I took the radio demon on a walk through the city .

"Aunt V?" He asked me , "it's a long story but to cut it short .. I actually took care of her when Lilith disappeared and Lucifer was by himself ... I uhh kind of popped up in their backyard and she immediately liked me" I replied with honesty and love in my words .
Both of us walked slowly through pentagram city and I noticed a lot of sinners started to hide as they saw us coming .

"So tell me , you wanted a deal with me as far as I heard ?"I slowly said with a questioning tone in my voice. "Well yes,.. but I don't want any regular deal.." he replied.
"So what were you thinking about ? I'm doubting that I'd be anything special to an overlord like you ?" I asked him ." You're wrong , I think you and I could work together very well .. just like you and Rosie " he smiled back at me.

I sighed "so what is it you want ?" I asked . "I want to work together with you ,. You will protect my souls and I will protect yours in return plus we would have sanctuary with each other in needy times .. as both of us are very powerful we would have more then over half of pentagram city as our own district .."he said trying to give me a speck of the idea he had in mind.

"So just a service for service deal?" i asked a little confused of how mere of a deal he wanted.

"Yes and you and I will know everything about each other of course ! No secrets " he said as his smile increasing .. I gave him a glance .. why does he want to know everything bout me ?
Could it be genuine interest or something else ?

We reached cannibal at this point, my gears were turning in my head trying to find any holes in this deal before agreeing on anything .
I noticed he was looking me over and saw he rose an eyebrow as he saw my ring .
I'd wonder what he'd thought of that .

Suddenly a loud cry was heard and a little cannibal girl was running over to us "a-auntie V.., " the little girl was crying as she grabbed My dress and pulled it .. the kids lip was burst and a black eye was noticeable.

I looked at the girl and asked her "oh my dear , what happened to you ?" Concern was written kn my face .. who could hurt a child like that .. like I know it's hell and all that .. but this ?!

The poor girl sniffled "m—my mama... she's in trouble ... an—and I-i "the poor kid was trying to explain as best as she could .

"Who did this sweetheart? And where is your mom now ?" I asked her softly .
"L—loansharks... s-she's still homeee" she sniffled and when she finished her sentence she started crying again .

"Shit .. " I picked the little girl up and looked over at the radio demon "I'm so sorry but I need to fix this ... you uhh can come with me while I .. you know " I looked at the radio demon a bit torn .

He nodded "well it's your contract my dear , I can't hold you back even though we're in the middle of a business meeting .. but I'd like to come along" he said .
I nodded back and thanked him , I ran with the kid in my arms to Rosie and burst through the door "Rosie , I need to fix something please watch the kid for me " I shouted and set the kid down infront of Rosie , she nodded at me as I went out through the door again . When I had carried the kid I quickly swept through her memory to find the house of her mother , I quickly went there with the radio demon on my heels .

"Why do you care ?" He asked as I was on my way. "It's part of the deal ,.. besides that .. there's a reason why my name is vendetta " I replied giving him a demonic smile over my shoulder .
I noticed a small spark in is eyes as he saw the look on my face .

I reached the house and without knocking I kicked in the door "someone's on my hunting grounds !" I yelled .

Hearing a string of panicked curses going through the air I laughed out "come out come out wherever you are !" I yelled back a hint of humor in my voice . The radio demon just stood in the door observing me with that big smile on his face .. I couldn't care less if he helped or not as it was my deal and my ground .

When I turned the corner and saw the mother and the group of loan sharks my horns and fangs grew bigger as I loomed over them with a sadistic smile on my face "found you , now run" I cackled out .

A few of them scrambled away but to no avail as I grabbed onto them and bit them in their necks ,.. a few of them where now gasping for air , one fought back and landed a few scratches on me but not enough damage to really care , with my sharp claws I pushed into his eye holes making him scream out loudly ... from a distance I heared the radio demon laugh .. oh he must find this extremely entertaining...

Then there was one more left unfortunately this one was way quicker then I expected , she fought for a bit and then he stabbed me in the ribs .. making me cry out .. my anger flashed up and I snapped my fingers creating the rifle I used for hunting in the living world and I shot the last loan shark straight through the head "you fucker !" I yelled before he took his last breath .

I saw the radio demon now with wide eyes staring at the rifle I was holding but didn't say anything .
I walked over to the mother and saw she was badly hurt .. due to me being stabbed I knew I couldn't get her on my own to Rosie's for a patch up . "Hey ,. Would you mind lending me a hand?" I saw the radio demon snap back into reality "you're hurt.. " he said plainly . "Yes I am .. that's why I'm asking you for help now .. I need to get her back to Rosie's " I replied . He didn't say anything but picked the woman up nonetheless "hold my arm " he said .
I nodded and grabbed onto his arm as his shadows swirled around us taking us in and letting us pop up back at Rosie's "Rosie! Rosie we need some patchwork done here " I yelled before I sat down out of breath .

The radio demon layed the woman down on one of Rosie's couches before walking over to me .
He saw me swallow slowly as I looked over to the kid in tears as Rosie started to patch up the woman as best as she could .

When Rosie looked up and saw I was hurt as well "oh my .. S..Vendetta .. y-you're hurt as well " Rosie said trying to cover up her slip as best as she could so the radio demon wouldn't notice but I saw his eyes squint when Rosie fell over my name ... this is going to be a thing .

"Rosie I need to get back home now ,.. it's the best way for me to heal .. you know that .." I stuttered .

"What about our meeting ? We are not done yet " the radio demon sneered in annoyance.
"Rosie will you reschedule a new meeting with him in two days? I really need to leave now .." I replied
Rosie nodded "go now before it's too late dear" she said .

I saw his face and he definitely did not like that .
I swiftly let myself drop through the shadows , the fact that I was hurt made me leave too many traces in the shadows leaving a little trail behind.
