11[Happy birthday]

Saturday (week before the Japanese Grand Prix)

10 Years ago

Today is my birthday, I'm 14 years old, and as a gift I asked my father for a new kart, and a cake with the writing "already from birth with a helmet on my head" above.
I have always liked karts since I was little.

"Mamá, ¿puedo invitar a unos chicos de karts para el cumpleaños?"
(Can I invite a kart boy to my birthday?)
"Sí cariño,¿quien soy?"
(Yes darling, who are they?)

"Uno, sólo hay uno, Charles"
(Only one mother, Charles)
"Por supuesto cariño."
(Of course honey)

I contacted Chalres and he said he couldn't wait. Charles and I have known each other for 2  years now, but I have never invited him to any birthday party because every year I was in Spain and he was in Monaco,But this year my birthday took place on a kart racing weekend, so this time I was able to invite him.

"Rose ven a la oficina" my dad calls me
(Rosa come to the office)
"no"

"¡Rosa, te dije que vinieras aquí!"
(Rosa, I told you to come here!")

My father has changed a couple of years ago, he treats me badly, but he has never raised his hands on me

"¿Qué deseas?"
(What do you want?)

He takes my wrist

"Papá, déjame en paz"
(dad leave me alone) I squirm
"¡Detener!"
(Enough!)
"Papá, déjame, me lastimaste"
(Dad, leave me, you hurt me!)

He grabs me and slaps me, then continues, makes me hit the wall, kicks, slaps.

After a while it's all over, and I find myself on the ground with bruises all over my body.
He leaves the study, and I also leave there and go to the room.
I go in and start crying, I collapse on the ground.
My father ruined a birthday, from now on I want to forget this date, I never want to celebrate my birthday again.
I take the lighter and burn myself, the inside of my leg, I'm crying out, but this time from the pain.

Today

Today is my birthday, I'm turning 24, I'm getting old too fast.
I go to get ready, I want to take a walk, I go to the bathroom, take a shower and after leaving the bathroom I get dressed, while I'm getting dressed there's a knock on the door
I'm going to open it....

"Happy birthday!" All the pilots and their girlfriends, outside my room to wish me happy birthday
"Oh my god!thank you" I'm about to cry
"Can we come in?" Max asks
"obvious!"

They all enter the room, there are all Max, Charles, Daniel, Carlos, Lando, Yuki and all others then there is also Alexandra, Isa, Dani's girlfriend, Kika, all.
"You guys shouldn't have" I say

"Of course we had to" says Daniel
"Where are we going to celebrate this evening?" says Carlos

"Carlos, I haven't celebrated my birthday for a while now" I say as I see Charles look at me
"And this time you will celebrate it" says kika
"Oh fine"

"Where are we going?" Yuki asks
"Disco, obviously!" says Dani

"He has to choose the birthday girl," says Charles
"It's a done deal for disco, but I won't drink" I say, at least I'd like to remember my birthday night
