"Given recent events, some students have expressed concern that I am not allowing you to have a say in the decisions that affect your future" Alaric said, addressing the student body, "And I agree, if you are expected to abide by this school's policies, it's only fair that you have a voice in how those rules are made, so, I am forming an honor council, one vampire, one witch and one werewolf, each elected by their peers, along with our school counselor Emma, whose vote will represent the younger students, now I have to go off-campus, in the meantime, I expect you to make good decisions and to vote wisely, that's all you're dismissed".

After receiving a note from Alaric about what his task for today is, an annoyed Alec stormed outside where he saw Alaric open the front door of his car, before the headmaster could get in, Alec used his magic to shut the door.

"Are you kidding me?" an angry Alec asked.

"Am I under assault today?" an chuckling Alaric asked, having been bombarded with many students ever since he announced the honor council.

"You're going to go and interrogate a tree nymph, and you're making me run tests on that stupid human boy" Alec snapped.

"First of all, it's a dryad, not a nymph" Alaric corrected, "Second of all, I need a person with magic abilities to run the testing spells".

"Get Hope or Mia to do it" Alec suggested, "They're the only ones in this school who might like Landon".

"Hope and Mia are busy with the honor council elections, trust me, I asked" Alaric said, "Plus, if Landon can convince you that he belongs, he can convince anybody".

Alec narrowed his eyes at Alaric's clearly amused face, "You think this is funny, don't you?".

"Extremely" Alaric replied, "I left both of you instructions in my office, try not to kill him".

"Wait, rewind" a confused Alec said, "What do you mean both of us?".

"You didn't really think I'd leave Landon alone with you without supervision, did you?" Alaric asked.

"I don't need supervision" Alec snapped.

"You have even less patience then both your fathers combined, trust me, you need supervision" Alaric stated.

"By who?" Alec asked.

"By me".

Alec turned around and immediately let out an annoyed groan seeing Nova standing behind him, he then turned back to Alaric, "Her, seriously?".

"Everyone else was busy" Alaric informed, he looked at Nova, "Make sure he doesn't do anything Alec like".

"What the hell does that mean?" Alec asked, as Alaric got into his car.

"It means exactly what you think it means" Nova said, patting Alec's shoulder.

Alec let out a frustrated sigh, "This is going to be a long day".

"Trust me, this isn't how I imagined my day to go either" Nova retorted, equally as unhappy with spending the day with both Alec and Landon.
