15. I'll Tell You A Story

Mia sat on her bed, flipping through a photobook that was filled with photos of her mom and dad with everyone they loved, it was something Kol and Caroline had made for the triplets on one of their birthdays.

Nova stood infront of her mirror, she put her earrings on and took a deep breath, trying to focus but for some reason her brain just couldn't focus today, all it could do was think about Alec and the kiss they shared yesterday.

Alec stood in the library, facing a bookshelf, the book Penelope gave him was placed on the table behind him, Alec looked at the bookshelf infront of him before closing his eyes and muttering a spell and suddenly a bunch of books came forward, immediately Alec stepped forward and grabbed one of them.

Hope stepped out of her room and immediately saw Asher sitting with Kaleb and MG, the moment Asher's eyes landed on Hope he gave her a smile which she gladly returned.

Alec stepped out of the library, he started walking down the corridor with the book he took from the library in his hand, when suddenly his eyes landed on Nova, causing him to quickly hide behind a wall and wait for Nova to pass by, after the kiss and what he discovered about them, Alec was having a hard time coming face to face with Nova.

Alaric called Mia to his office and played a voicemail that Landon had left him after leaving the school, "Hey Ric, sorry to take off like that but I just needed a little time, so I'm going camping for a while, hopefully I can catch up on class work later, tell Raf and Jed hi for me".

"Jed?" a confused Mia asked, once the voicemail stopped playing, "Why would Landon say hi to Jed? They're not even friends, something doesn't make sense here, I have a very bad feeling, I think we should go after him".

"Mia" Alaric started.

"Ric, triad has already tried going after him once" a worried Mia reminded, "What's stopping them from trying again?".

"We kept a massive secret from him" Alaric said, "And I think he just needs some time to process that, I think we should respect his privacy and just wait".

"God, Penelope is so lucky that she already left this school, or I don't know what I would have done to her" an angry Mia said, before walking out of Alaric's office.

During the Miss Mystic event, Penelope ended up telling Landon the truth about the Kansas trip, causing Landon to get really angry with everyone as he realised they all knew about his mother but kept it a secret from him so he ended up leaving the school to calm himself down.

Mia entered the kitchen and immediately her eyes went wide seeing the mess Nova had created, "Did a monster attack our kitchen?".

"No a monster didn't attack our kitchen, I did" a sheepish Nova admitted, "I needed to distract myself so I tried to bake a banana cream pie".

"Where's the pie?" Mia asked, "I could go for something sweet right now".

"It's in the garbage" Nova replied, "Trust me, you did not want to taste whatever I had managed to make, something that was definitely not a banana cream pie".
