Chapter 9: The Invitation

At the Davila Grounds

The pack was prepping for the usual bonfire. Conri was bringing wood to the fire pit, and Jenna was in charge of s'more prep. The rest of the pack was just doing whatever they so pleased till it was all the way dark out.

"Hey can you pass me that log", Conri asked his girlfriend?

Jenna passed Conri the log, "Here you go".

"Thanks babe", Conri thanked her.

As the two were working a familiar Copeland clan face turned up behind them, "Hey guys", Renee greeted.

Conri looked up at Renee with a smile, "Oh hey Renee what's up, uh Lycus is in his cabin if you're looking for him".

"Actually I wanted to give you something real quick", Renee said taking out a envelope from her bag, "It's an invitation to the Copeland Clan Spring Formal, Audrey's finally throwing a party after all of us begging her to and y'all are invited".

Conri walked over and took the envelope from Renee, "Oh nice, when is it"?

"March 30th at seven PM, and dress fancy it is called a formal after all", Renee said.

Conri laughed, "I do look good in a suit".

"Yeah he does", Jenna said chiming in, "We'll tell the pack about it and we'll be there".

Renee smiled, "Great, I'm gonna go tell Ly".

Renee walked over to Lycus's cabin and knocked, "Come in", Lycus said from the other side.

Renee opened his door, "Hey sugar...how do you look in a suit"?

Lycus got up from his bed and kissed his mate on the lips, "Not my best look".

"Well too bad, Audrey's hosting a Spring Formal and you wolves are all invited", Renee said.

"Hm well how do you look in a dress", Lycus retorted?

Renee laughed, "Yeah...not my best look either".

The couple shared a kiss, followed by more kisses and more kisses. Lycus pulled Renee onto the bed as they both continued to kiss each other. They ran their hands up and down each other's bodies.

Renee finally decided to pull away, "Hmm I can't wait to see you in that suit...".

Lycus put Renee's hair behind her ear, "It's not a very handsome sight fair warning".

Renee rolled her eyes, "Stop talking down on yourself you're gonna look great".

Lycus smiled with a small laugh, "Fine fine I'll take your word for it".

The couple decided to cuddle for a bit before the bonfire started...

Later...

The bonfire had started and the pack and Renee were all making s'mores and talking with each other.

"Do you have to be home by a certain time Renee", Jenna asked?

"Nah everyone else is party planning and I said I had no interest", Renee replied.

"Damn your whole clan trying to agree on something seems like a nightmare", Conri said.

"Yeah tell me about it, but it will all get figured out", Renee said taking another bite of her s'more.

"I'm glad you decided to come hang with us", Lycus said to Renee with a smile.
