Chapter 21: In The Eye Of The Storm

At the Copeland Manor

Jessa was watching TV in the main living room when the weather reports came on, "Hey Renee, check this out, says a big storm with heavy winds are gonna hit are area tonight".

Renee's eyes slightly widened, "..A storm"?

"Yeah, why did you know about it already", Jessa asked?

"I didn't, but Lycus damn sure did", Renee stated.

"What do you mean", Jessa asked curious?

"Lycus had been getting these flashes of a storm and Zach was in them, weird part is Zach was getting them too just the other way around", Renee explained.

"Huh, so ya think he's seeing the storm that's on the news", Jessa questioned?

"I don't know, but if he is...we need to keep him and Zach apart", Renee said clenching her fists...

At the Davila Grounds

"Looks pretty cloudy today", Lauren said.

"Yeah, I saw on my weather alerts there's gonna be a storm with bad winds tonight", Witney stated aloud.

As Lycus was walking by he stopped in his tracks, "Wait...there's gonna be a storm tonight"?

"Yeah, says it's not gonna be an easy one to get through with that wind so I say we should stay in the den during it", Witney said.

Lycus's heartbeat quickened, "...my flashes...there coming true..".

"Those ones you had with Zach in them, you didn't tell me there was a storm happening in those", Lauren said with crossed arms.

"I feel like I would've mentioned that, but sorry if I didn't", Lycus sighed, "I have a feeling my flashes are coming true".

"If that's the case Zach is gonna come here and feed you his blood tonight, we can't let that happen", Lauren said.

Lycus gulped nervously, "Yeah I'd like to avoid that at all costs".

"Then make sure you stay in the den with us the whole time tonight okay", Witney stated?

Lycus nodded, "Yeah...".

At the Copeland Manor a few hours later

"Jeez that storm really isn't letting up", Joshua said looking out the window.

"Don't worry, it will pass over us", Audrey reassured.

"Thank god we don't live in wooden shacks or something", Isaac retorted.

Renee's eyes went wide, "But the Davila's do, their cabins, shit they'll get blown away".

"Oh you're right, we need to go help them somehow", Joshua said.

"You guys, it's a mess out there it would be hard to get there even with your speed", Audrey said.

"Audrey...Lycus is my partner, and the pack is like a second family to me...I'm going, follow me if you want", Renee said running as fast as she could out the door.

"I'm going too, she shouldn't be alone", Joshua said leaving as well.

Almost all the progenies left the manor. And Audrey worried for them. She didn't want anything to happen to them, even if they were going to help people...
