Chapter 12: Inner Truth

Mira and Timothée made their way to the Raynott Crystal Shop. Mira's hope was that they would know why Timothée suddenly appeared again.

Once they arrived they removed their hoods and Mira called out for them, "Sage, Cohen, anyone home"?

Both of the siblings came walking out from the back and Sage smiled once she saw Mira, "Mira hi, oh...that's not Ryder is it"?

"Nope, names Timothée", Timothée introduced himself.

"Oh, pleasure to meet you", Sage said.

"Why haven't we met you before", Cohen asked?

"Well he's actually why I'm here, see the other day Antony...well he smashed Ryder's head into a wall and uh...suddenly today Timothée here is back from the dead", Mira explained.

"You used to be an alter of Ryders in the past", Cohen asked?

"Yes I was- am I am", Timothée stammered.

"Huh weird", Cohen said.

"It certainly is interesting, but he could do a simple brain search and figure out why he came back", Sage said, "Is that okay with you Timothée"?

Timothée nodded, "Uh yeah I guess so".

"Perfect, just come in the back with me and we can get started", Sage said taking Timothée's hand.

Timothée sat down in a chair and Cohen walked behind him, placing his hand on the sides of his head, "Uh what are you doing", Timothée asked?

"Any second now..", Cohen said to himself with closed eyes.

"Wait WAIT what's any...second...n~", and just like that Timothée fell asleep.

"There we go", Cohen said keeping one hand on the side of his head, "Sage..", Cohen then took his sister's hand and they both closed their eyes.

"Y'know I could've just put him to sleep quicker without him freaking out", Mira said.

"A vampire induced sleep versus a witch or warlock induced sleep are very different, the chemicals in the brain compose differently; and for this spell he must be asleep our way", Sage explained.

"Oh, makes sense I guess, so what are you guys looking for", Mira asked?

"We're waiting for visions and messages to pop up in our minds", Cohen responded.

Mira just decided to stop talking for the time being and let them do their work. She watched as their facial expressions changed as they saw things. She was curious at what they were seeing.

They both opened their eyes, "Alright we're all done", Sage said.

Cohen put both his hands on the sides of Timothée's head, "Awaken".

His eyes fluttered open to reveal red eyes, "Mira...why the hell did you let them do that"?!

Mira rolled her eyes, "Because I was concerned about your precious little body that's why, ever think that I sometimes care about you too"?

Zane scoffed, "You got a funny way of showing it", he stood up, "You make me sick".

And just like that Zane walked off putting his hood back up. Mira stood frozen at his words, deep down she felt like Ryder just said that but she knew better.

Sage put a hand on Mira's shoulder, "Timothée came back because...Zane couldn't hold him off anymore, it was Zane who was keeping him locked away; that hit to his head must've broken his focus somehow...I'm sorry".

Mira's face saddened, "Timothée has no idea...".

Zane was alone walking in the streets when he felt a familiar presence in his mind. Timothée. Zane came to realize his work to keep him away had now backfired.
