Chapter 26: Love In The Air, No Time To Spare

At the Copeland Manor

It had been days and Antony's depression had gotten worse. He was now not leaving the bedroom and he only ever spoke to Audrey. His progenies tried to cheer him up but it was impossible, nothing seemed to work.

Audrey entered the bedroom with a blood bag in her hand, "I brought you breakfast love".

"Not hungry", Antony said in response.

"Darling you have to eat something or you'll-", Audrey was cut off by Antony.

"I know what will happen Audrey, I just do not want to eat right now", Antony said facing away from his wife.

Audrey sighed and turned to walk out of the room, "Alright, I'll be in my office if you need me...I love you".

Antony said nothing as Audrey left the room. He was silent as a mouse. Audrey ran into Joshua on the way to her office.

"Audrey hey", Joshua looked down, "I see he rejected another meal".

"He did yes, I just wish I knew how to make him feel better", Audrey said.

"As do the rest of us, maybe he just needs some time to himself", Joshua said.

"I hope you're right", Audrey said sighing her way to her office...

At the Davila Grounds

"That's a great plan Conri, Jenna's gonna love it", Lauren said as she talked to Conri.

"You really think so", Conri asked Lauren?

"Yeah, bringing her down to the dock, a full moon, it's so romantic", Lauren said.

"I thought so too, but don't tell her I plan on doing anything tonight", Conri said.

Lauren laughed, "Con relax, she's my sister I can keep secrets from her just fine".

Conri sighed with relief, "Thanks for helping me Lauren".

Lauren smiled, "No problem".

The bonfire had come. Everyone was doing as they always did, make s'mores and tell stories. But it was time, Conri was going to propose to Jenna.

Conri took Jenna's hand, "Jen, wanna go down to the dock for a second"?

Jenna tilted her head to the side, "Why"?

Conri shrugged, "It's a beautiful night and a nice view from the dock".

Jenna laughed, "Well look at you trying to be romantic, sure I'll go down with you".

The werewolf couple held hands as they walked down to the dockside by the cabins. Once they got there they stood and admired the full moon.

Conri began to kiss Jenna's neck, she gasped, "Oh you...naughty little..".

"I love you so much Jenna...", Conri said pulling away, "So much, that I can't imagine my life without you".

Jenna took his hand, "Aww I love you too and feel the same way but, what are you planning"?

"This", Conri took a small box from his pocket and got down on one knee, "Jenna Taylor, we've known each other for years, and I wanna continue to get to know you...will you marry me"?

Jenna began to tear up, "Conri....yes, a millions times yes"!

Conri put the ring on her finger and he stood up and kissed her deeply in the moonlight. They both heard cheering coming from the fire pit. Conri and Jenna both walked back over to everyone else.
