Chapter 29: Back Together Again

At the Copeland Manor

Ever since Antony had passed away, things at the Copeland Manor had been a bit...dull. Especially for his progenies and Audrey. All the girls did their best to try and cheer everyone up but it wasn't very easy.

At this time Timothée was fronted, he had been more recently to protect Ryder from all the sorrows of Antony's passing.

Mira knocked on his door before coming in, "Hey, oh who's out right now"?

Timothée was looking out the window, "Timothée, Ryder just went back into the system...he was crying so I wanted to give him a break".

Mira sighed with sympathy for her boyfriend, "Poor thing, I can't imagine how he must feel, not having a maker anymore...that's terrible".

"I've tried my best to help him, Zane doesn't help for shit but eh, at least I'm here y'know", Timothée said.

"I just feel so terrible for him, all the other progenies, and my goodness especially Audrey, the heartbreak she must be feeling", Mira said.

"Loosing your husband, especially the way she did, is no picnic, I feel for the girl", Timothée said with a sigh.

"I wish there was a way to cheer everyone up but it's no use, I've tried everything", Mira said, she then had a quick thought, "Hang on, maybe we can all have dinner together tonight, we've all been eating in our rooms".

Timothée shrugged, "Not a bad idea, I'm in, I'm sure Ry will be too, but I don't know how you're gonna convince the others".

"I'll try my best, I'm gonna go start asking people since it's getting pretty late and if I have to cook for everyone I'd like to know so, wish me luck", Mira said walking towards the door.

"Good luck", Timothée said as Mira left the bedroom.

Mira then spent the next hour trying her hardest to convince all the progenies to come to dinner. Some of them had no issue joining her for dinner, but others were still pretty upset and hard to talk to. Eventually Mira got the whole clan on board, now all she had to go do was ask Audrey.

Mira walked towards her makers bedroom then knocking on the door, "Audrey...it's Mira, may I come in, I have something to ask you"?

In a startled tone Audrey answered, "Oh, yes come in".

When Mira opened the door she saw Audrey shoving a piece of paper into an envelope. She was a bit confused, Audrey then put it on her nightstand.

"Sorry about that, what can I help you with Mira", Audrey asked?

"Sorry if I was interrupting something but I just wanted you to know that I was making dinner for everyone, and was wondering if you'd like to join us", Mira asked?

"Oh, sure, why not, I'll be there", Audrey responded.

Mira smiled, "Great, it should be ready in about an hour, see you then"!

Mira left Audrey's room. Audrey then picked up the letter with a sigh, "Oh Mira....I'm so sorry for what I'm about to put you through".

Dinner was now served, the whole clan was eating at the large dining table. Audrey was in her usual seat at the very end of the table. She sat anxiously not eating anything on her plate. There was very little conversation at the table, making things even more tense.

Soon enough everyone was finished eating. And all went there separate ways. But Audrey went to go find Mira.

"Mira", Audrey called out.
