It was said that Princess Visenya belonged to one of her uncles, that the Gods planned it, but no one knew which uncle and why.
It was our Aunt Laena funeral; I never really saw her much. I felt sad but not sad enough. I looked up at my father, he was looking down, not really paying much attention to anything, I grabbed his hand, he grabbed back. He lost his best friend. I let my eyes wander around until I found my uncles. I loved them, they were funny and nice in certain ways. But growing up, it was clear Alicent had her favorites.
Aegon looked bored, like it was a bother to be here. Until he noticed me looking at him, he smiled and winked at me. I gave a small smile back. My eyes moved to Aemond, he was looking around until his eyes were on me, he smiled, and I smiled back until I heard someone laughing.
I looked and it was my Daemon. I never even met him. But he was my mother's uncle. I didn't understand what was going on and why he would laugh at a funeral, but they pushed her coffin into the water, and everyone went separate ways.
" Visenya " I looked around until I saw my grandfather smiling, calling me over. I smiled, rushing over to him. I threw my arms around him.
" How is my girl?" He asked smiling.
" I am good, how are you?" I asked leaning my head on his shoulder.
" I am better that you're here, I have someone for you to meet" he looked up and so did I. I saw Daemon. He was grinning at me. I grinned up at him, still with my head on my grandfather's shoulder.
" This is Daemon, your great uncle."
" Hello Daemon, it's nice to meet you" I smiled.
" Princess Visenya, nice to meet you, I hope to get to know you more." I smiled at him, nodding my head.
I turned my head, and Aemond was standing close by, watching us. I smiled kissing my grandfather's cheek, saying my goodbyes to Daemon, running to Aemond, throwing my arms around him, he rolled his eyes but hugged me backed. I didn't realize the stares that we got from the people around us.
" Hello, Visenya" He smiled looking at me. I loved Aemond.
" Hello, Uncle Aemond" I grinned. He rolled his eyes. I knew, he didn't like that. I was the same age, as him. He found it weird that he was my uncle.
" You know, I hate that. " I laughed as we walked over to Aegon and Helaena. Aegon was drinking. Helaena was looking at bugs. She was very interesting. But sweet. I loved her.
I listened to Halena as we stood there.
" Hand turns looms. Spool of green. Spool of black. Dragons of flesh. Weaving dragons of thread. Hand turns to loom. Spool of green". She spoke to no one but herself, on the ground messing with the bugs. I believed she was gifted. If anyone could actually understand. I stood between Aegon and Aemond watching her.
" We have nothing in common." He said disgustingly.
" She's, our sister." Aemond said looking at her also.
" You marry her, then " He looked at Aemond disgustingly also.
" I would perform my duty." I rolled my eyes at him. I did not think it was a duty to marry.
Aemond spoke again, " If mother had only betrothed us."
Aegon rolled his eyes as he drank still, simply saying " If only."
I spoke up, not liking what they were saying. " Being married is not a duty, it is about love, and I will love the one that loves me." I said as I walked away, trying to find my mother or father. I leaned, looking down seeing my father standing in the water. I went toward the steps, but my grandmother stopped me, shaking her head no.
