Understanding

Katie's P.O.V

It has been around a week from when we were at Beth's and since then i can't get Blake out of my head. 'What is happening to me' i think to myself. I have been making more of an effort with her to be more civil even though nothing was wrong in the first place. 

"Blake wanna train with me for i bit" i shout over as training ends. She nods and makes her way over. "So what you wanna do?" she asks, I just grab a ball and we begin passing it we end up staying there for hours without realising, laughing and joking around before we both just lie in the middle of the pitch looking up to the sky. 

"Can we talk" she asks, so i sit up and nod allowing her to continue. "Why were you so mean to me when i got here" i can hear a hint of sadness in her voice. "I don't Know" which was the truthful response and i just apologise and let her know that i will never be mean to her again apart from the occasional banter. we continue to talk for another or so before she rushes off the pitch with me following close behind, "what's wrong Blake" i ask curiously before she turns to me with tears threatening to fall "Lessi is gonna be so mad that I'm coming home late" the tears that were threatening finally fell and i just embraced her in a hug. "No she won't and don't worry i told her your having a sleepover" i lied. 

While Blake was changing in the bathroom i quickly let Alessia know that I'm bringing Blake to mine and she's alright to which Less replied with Ok and Do not hurt her. I laughed a little at the last comment but i also know she was being deadly serious and not gonna lie she scares me a little, but after that night at Beth's i vowed i would never left anyone or anything hurt her including me. 

Blake returns from the bathroom in a hoodie and jogger and i smile to myself. "what's got you all smiley then" she asks, your wearing my hoodie i say back and she quickly looks down realising, "Sorry do you want it back?" she asks not looking at me. Damn someone has done some damage on her i think to myself knowing the signs since i helped Leah out of something similar previously. No No, Don't worry about it, it looks better on you anyway i say with a smirk causing her to blush slightly.

Come on then i reach for her hand so we can finally leave and i notice her flinch at my quick movements which makes me sad, so i let my hand hover giving her the option to take it if she wishes and she does. we both leave in my car and we sat in a comfortable silence all the way back to my house. I wonder what she is thinking about.

Blake's P.O.V

Katie has been great we are finally getting along but i can't help but think there is a deeper meaning to it and I'm going to end up hurt just like always. we are driving back to her house after a really long day and I'm just resting my head looking out the window forcing my eyes open, we are stuck in traffic which doesn't help because i am so tired but i don't want to be rude and annoy Katie. She must have noticed that's I'm struggling to stay awake and she holds her hand out for me to hold which i gladly take, "Go to sleep we will be here for a while" she chuckles, I don't want to and you might just leave my here i reply with a sad ad tired tone to which she strokes my hand. "Don't be silly, your obviously tired and I'm not going anywhere i promise. you can keep holding my hand i wont let go and ill wake you up when we get there." her reply was soft which relaxed me slightly but i still couldn't be sure so instead she takes my hand pulling me over closer to her and tells me to put my head on her shoulder which by the way don't actually do when driving it can be really dangerous. So I did it still holding Katie's hand as my eyes finally closed.

About 30 minutes later i can hear Katie trying to wake me up. I quickly wake up in a panic not knowing where I am or how long i was sleeping for. "Hey hey, its alright im still here just like i promised." I looked around seeing we were still in the car parked outside of Katie's house, sorry i say before i got out letting go of Katie's hand earning me a saddened look from Katie. As we went inside i was still really tired and Katie sat on the couch patting the space beside her to which i quickly obliged situating myself comfortably beside her. "Are you Still tired?" she asks looking down at me, i nod and Katie giggles. "Come on then sleepyhead." causing me to groan cause i was comfy. i took her hand following her to her bedroom lying down in her bed with me close behind once we were comfy Katie got up to leave which caused a slight panic on my part, "I'm just going to the toilet DW" she reassures me and a few minutes later she reappeared and lay beside me. "You can go back to sleep" she states. I was still worried incase she left so i basically lay on top of her with my arm around her torso and my leg over her legs causing her to laugh slightly "I'm Not going anywhere" she says as i feel my heavy eyes slowly shutting and falling back into a deep slumber.

Katie's P.O.V

she is so cute i think to myself as i look down to this girl sleeping beside me well basically on top of me. It made me sad knowing that someone has done some bad things to her in the past causing her to be like this. I manage to Free my arms to look at my phone seeing multiple messages from Alessia fuck i think as i open the messages,

'Are you home'

'Katie are you home, How is Blake'

'KATIE YOU BETTER FUCKING ANSWER ME RIGHT NOW'

'KATIE ALLISON MCCABE IF ANYTHING HAS HAPPENED TO MY SISTER YOU ARE DEAD'

before i could reply my phone started ringing alerting me to Alessia's request for a facetime which i quickly accept not wanting to wake Blake up.

 A -'FINALLY I THOUGH YOU WERE DEAD'

K - 'Shush Blake is Sleeping'

A- 'Why didn't you text me this'

K - 'Ill show you' 

Turning the phone around to see how Blake was sleeping

A - 'Right ok, sorry. I'm surprised she actually fell asleep tbh its been a while since she has slept with anyone other than me.'

K - 'What happened to her?'

A - 'that's for her to tell you not me, and she will when she is ready as long as you keep gaining her trust and treating her well. but i will say its been hard for her'

K - 'Okay then, well I'm gonna go so i don't wake her up'

A - 'Okay bye Katie, take care of her' was all she said before swiftly hanging up the phone. shivers literal shivers.

I put my arms around Blake in a protective way before falling asleep myself. 

A couple hours later i wake up because i felt some movement or more like struggling beside me. once my eyes adjusted to the darkness i could make out Blake beside me tossing and turning, muttering something getting progressively louder. "STOP, IM SORRY PLEASE, DONT HURT ME." was all she kept screaming so in an effort to comfort her i tried waking her up which she did but it caused her to panic more. "Please don't hurt me, i'm sorry" she was now whispering, I could never Blake i reply softly to not startle her more "Katie?" she questions in a Shakey voice, I'm here Blake i told you I'm not leaving until you tell me to go. "sorry for waking you up." she says while indicating the time shown on my clock. don't worry Blake its fine i say, are you ok i ask cautiously. "No...But i don't want to talk about it right now, i will tell you at some point." she says while reaching for my hand but stopping before making contact, i looked up and could tell she was trying to figure out if i would be mad or not. you can take it i say softly and she doesnt wait any longer and grabs it. Come here i say while motioning her to lay back down on my chest which she does. i gently stroke her hair with my free hand and her breathing soon settled into a steady pace indicating she had fallen back asleep. I kiss the top of her head Goodnight Blake i whisper before drifting off myself.
